  • @plaidass what he means is that it takes 7mins to fit the Red camera onto the Artemis, balance and calibration, and then boot up the camera ready for use. You would not have the camera booted up and running while balancing would you? You might need to mount the monitor onto the front and the battery which will take an extra couple of minutes. Also you should learn a little bit more baout the setting up of all these different camera atabilisers, Steadicam, GlideCam and Artemis.

  • The Artemis is a great system, I've used it and love it, I also own a steadicam. I still maintain (after owning a red for three years) that anyone who says a red takes seven minutes to boot is high on something.

  • I like the artemis but this guy is on crack if he thinks it takes up to 7 minutes to boot a red.

  • @plaidass1 that guy is not only the designer of one of the best stabilizer systems in the world, he's also a really skilled operator. If he says it might, in the worst case, take up to 7 minutes, I tend to believe him more than some dude on youtube who fires arguments like "he must be on crack"...

  • Ha was there today and fiddled arround with the Artemis system and it's a beauty it moves so smooth but I have been working with Sachtler for a while and all their equipment is top notch.
