  • Appaloosa/Thoroughbred! Very cool! Just like my mare, well, similar. She's appy/tb on her dad's side... and her mom was a mustang. I love it, have fun and happy pirouettes! Penny and I have fun with them, even though we are not qualified to play around with them! Hehe

  • what a beautiful horse!

  • Awsome! Congradulations

  • Check out our new video! Go to my videos and see Risky's Jan 2010 video! Hope you notice the HUGE difference in her connection, collection, and muscle development!

  • very pretty mare! the funny thing is my name is allison also and i have a appaloosa mare! haha!! small world!!

  • Nice to see a ride with quiet legs! Lovely mare.

  • Awesome work. its great to see some horses out there that are doing some high dressage movements that arent warmbloods. I have a welsh x tb mare who is starting her canter pirouettes as well :)

  • beautiful horse! i love thoroughbred crosses

  • great job!

my nztb and i attempted our first pirouette today.

it wasn't nearly as graceful as yours!

  • Thanks to everyone for your wonderful comments! We are hoping to get some new footage up here soon, as this mare has changed so much in the last 2 years!

  • Simply gorgeous mare! You guys will get the pirouette in no time! Keep up the dedication.

  • BEUTIFUL MARE

  • she's trying so hard for you -- she seems very willing to learn! you both look great!!

  • wow i loved this!!!!!!

  • You guys are awesome, smart rider / horse team . The thing I do not like is the instructor who is so loud and speak to you as if you were an imbecile !!! American teacher are so loud why ??? anybody knows why ?

  • My instructor is just very enthusiastic! She doesn't like to patronize her students, something I much appreciate!

  • to me she seems like a great instructor. Very clear and there are plenty of times where while riding you miss what the teacher says so being loud isn't necessarily a bad thing ;) Gorgeous horse!

  • well done!! My horse can do one stride at it lol. He keeps telling me he is not a dressage horse but a jumper. lol. I noticed that once you horse became uncollected you fixed it right away. She will be an excelent mout before you know it! I wish i could find a 16.2+ paint or appy cheap for myself i love color!.

  • WAT A CUTIE!!

  • wow! i have a leopard appaloosa mare, urs is really unique. Isnt that a snowcap or a blanket appy ? mines a leopard?

  • It's a blanket appy. I have an appy gelding ( well he's a QH X Appy) who also has a blanket a little similar to this. He is actually sorrel with roaning covering the front of his hips and a big white blanket w/ a few spots in it on his hips and butt. He has unique coloring with a nice amount of sclera and a little mottled skin. That horse is very fancy and beautiful looking. What do you do with your appy? I am currently jumping and doing Dressage w/ my boy.

  • oh how cool... what a pritty horse... wow

  • she's verrry pretty, you guys got better by the end, good job =)

  • Oh man i would recognize Pat's voice anywhere!! Tell her Sean says hello

  • Wow. She is beautiful. I am partial... I believe I own her twin brother :) We are just starting dressage...it will be awhile until we are doin pirouettes! How is she bred?

  • Thank you! She is 1/2 TB, with Native Dancer lines. I'm not familiar with her Appy side... Red Eagles Dawn?

  • My guy is also TB bloodlines. His mom was a TB and dad was a registered App, but 1/2 TB-1/2TB. So I guess that makes Jake 3/4 TB. Check out his videos - listed under my screen name. They are similar. How old is she? Jake is 5.

  • what are YOUR aids for a walk to canter transition? how do you get them instantly off the leg into canter without them leaning on you and shooting into trot? i know i should be half halting her but then she just leans and sprints into a trot? what exercises did you do?

  • You should really refer to a good dressage trainer who can actually see your problem first hand. You have to make sure your horse is truely "on the aids" and round, using her back and hind end correctly. If the preperation is correct, the transition will be easy for her. Also make sure your trot to canter transitions are round, soft, and balanced. Good luck!

  • thank you, before you ask should you bring both or just your outside leg back and give a quick instant kick, or squeeze?

please comment on her....but note that these videos were of her when i first started work with her!! xxx

  • I love your horse, your a great rider to

  • WELL DONE!!! Im Learning Canter pirouettes At The Moment... They Are MUCH Harder Than They Look!!

  • Great first try,it's a tricky movement but your horse did it great!

  • Awesome :)

  • You horse is comming along VERY NICLEY!

He has wonderful movenment, and looks as though hes a quick smart learner. You are great rider with wonderful posture.
