hmm....thats a cynical way of looking at the world. Would you rather convict an innocent man? 95 percent of the verdicts are guilty. the rest is acquittal. The small percentage are mistrials. Lawyers are the only things that protect defendants civil rights just like every other human being. IF you were charged of a crime whether guilty or innocent you would want the same rights as everyone else. Everyone should be equal before the law. That is how America is supposed to work

Exactly what my point is. Thats why I said should. If you want the serious information on it. If you have money, you have at least half a chance of fairly facing the charges. If you dont have money, then you are almost 100 percent chance of getting convicted. if you dont have lawyers in the system then I promise you we would be living in a banana republic where there is no protection under the law. Th ex brother in law who told police that he helped Drew carry out a blue barrel from the bedroom which was warm to the touch is very credible. Drew Peterson is obviously a calculating man possibly even intelligent, he indeed may be guilty of murder, even double murder. Trial by media though isn't a good idea, the media is a business, so it's in their interest to dramatize the story. The police wouldn't like Drew, as being an ex officer, he's not putting the police service in good light. Even if his guilty and he gets "off" his life is ruined, people will hound him to the day he dies, the same applies if his innocent his life is ruined.

see the problem with the witnesses against him is that they all have credibility issues and thats why there hasnt even been an indictment agaisnt this man. Face it the police have nothing but speculation, rumor, and innuendo. Otherwise, he wouldve been arrested already.

Hi Facebook289: You are correct in your assessment of the witnesses. Personally, I think he set it up that way. As someone else pointed out, he was a cop, he knows how to throw people off his trail. It may not appear, superficially, that he is guilty of one murder; however you put everything together & there is a glaring pattern. I wrote somewhere else the he cries to keep the "sociopath" label away from him (no conscience). This guy is phony, he's just playing a very diabolical game...
