@ferociousgumby most likely. The quality on these old recordings are pretty horrible. If you think about it, I doubt it looked much better on a 19 inch Dumont back when it was first broadcast.

Thanks for posting this video, mytvmemories. I recall this series when it was on originally, in the early '50's. You have to love Topper's one-liners to cover up for the Kirbys' shenanigans. There was something delightfully understated, but droll about this program. I suppose that's mostly attributable to the contrast between Cosmo's stodginess and the Kirbys' madcap, devil-may-care antics.
