  • I love PJ but I think Eddie Vedder in his old age is lookin like Benjamin Brat for some reason and I don't mean that in a bad way it's just that his face has finally filled out and he still looks damn good!

All I gotta say is keep it goin Pearl Jam get this Justin Bieber bullshit outta here!

  • rock on

  • looks like justin bieber made 34 acounts and disliked this

  • @thejohnhurley that wasn't even the least bit funny you fucking loser.

  • miss you jme

  • this song rocks

  • The greatest singer/songwriter in rock and the greatest guitar partnership in rock.

This band could never do wrong.

  • Everything Pearl Jam does is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT!!!!

  • Cameron Crowe.

    Love.

  • let me guess, you were making great music before I was in high school & I tuned to your music while doing homework...wait, your not PJ-you're no one lol I will call you BH toe jam.

  • @BeverlyHills666 you try and do better, 666 bearing fuck,

  • I dig the emotion Eddie displays when he sings.. very intense... I think everyone has felt the message in these lyrics at one time... to make something right in our life that has gone wrong.. very hopeful, positive lyrics! My current theme song!

  • pearl jam is coming back...yeah yeah yeah!!!-really great song...byeee

  • Is good music coming back oh yeah baby!!! Beautiful lyrics with an actual message Pearl Jam STILL ROCKS!!! WE GOTTA FIGHT TO GET BACK AGAIN!!!

  • esta muy chido lo mejor de los ultimos dias de pearl mas bien de los ultimos años supercool

  • Lets take a similar song, lets say Coldplay's "fix you". I will fix you I mean its nice music but its mostly just empty lyrics. Sounds nice I admit but music with meaning is more..meaningful.

  • then go write your own songs douchebag

  • I had weird coincidences with this band.. for one its the first band I ever started listening to back in early 90s, just by happenstance, then I ran into some guy at airport who saw me holding one of their CDs and he told me a story about just coming from his mom's wedding. Not to mention, Not to mention this guy is unique he doesn't sound like all the other bullshit out there.

  • The Band that defined the 90's and back again!!! yeah yeah yeah!!....

  • idk. both had a major imparct on music, but i'm sorry the fact we can still get amazing albums from PJ makes them better at this point. plus even flow is just as amazing as teen spirit and this is just as awesome as lithium...lets just say both fucking kill.

  • Couldnt agree more!!!!

  • LOVE it!

  • Man what a great song!!! I'm so glad this band is still going....... my God since 91!!!!! They have made so much great music. Their main stream stuff as well as there more unknown songs. They have inspired me so many times all these years. Keep going guys.

  • Eddie Vedder is back, yeah !!!

  • ........................ridiculously siick

  • simple in fact.

...but kick in the ass is simple too. But what a pleasure;-)

  • true...it sounds like Beatsticks!

  • Eddie's voice is like a fine wine. Crazy,

  • brilliant soong!!!

  • Damn, pearl jam has so many styles....i was impressed by this song

  • I wouldn't even call this rock or indie rock, pearl jam is an epic genre of their own!

  • Sounds a bit like the Beatsteaks.... the voice and the guitars match i think.....

i love this new song of them...

  • this is kind of a disappointing film clip. does anyone else agree? or am i alone on this?

  • yes, well its just them playing live...

  • the rhythm section is awesome...matts drum and jeffs bass stand out

  • it doesn't get much tighter than this

  • my mom's pussy probably just a bit tighter

  • ohh yeaaaa!! Pearl Jam.

  • YES!! PEARL JAM is back :) effin love'em. how radd would it be if Temple of the Dog came back out with an album?!?! i hope someday.....(Y)

  • It wouds be cool... but I doubt they would ever get back together... remember that Temple was just a tribute to Andy Wood band. Unless of course they celebrated him in some way in the future. Like a 20 year thing.

  • ture! but man that you would one amazing album if they did come out with one!!

  • the best song of the album....love this song .. pearl jam forever and cant find one in a million like eddie......

had to go to Tampa last year to see pearl jam...please come to Dallas..

  • If somethings broke I wanna put a little duct tape on it.

  • Thank you for this video you guys rock I love pearl jam ! LOVE IT

  • actually i don't really like all those "yeah yeah yeah"-s

  • i luv this song ^^ hav a cup of coffee wile listenin to this song :D makes u wanna dance X3

  • good song

  • They haven't changed much, this is still a great song which I'm sure the classic rock stations are going to thrash the hell out of. Go guys! :D

  • this is better than the official trailer

  • Cool song, but in the beginning it sounds like they're trying to bust into "What I Like about You"

  • No it doesn't. Nice try though.

  • yeah pj is backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Sounds a little like a Replacements song.

  • "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.. Fight to get it back again!"

I love that part so fucking much.

  • Welcome back pearl jam

  • Aman to that my friend. Also I'd like to say that they are one of the very few bands that can get away with changing up the sound but still sound amazing.

  • the hook is awesome.

the verses are.. well i don't like them so much but it's still a pretty good song.

  • To me sounds like pearl jam, Kik ass old school music, I will never get bored of listen to their music.

  • I'm hearing a little Broken Social Scene in this track - which is totally fine with me.

  • No - you're hearing PJ, who BSS may have subconsciously been influenced by!

  • I'm 35 and I'm big into alternative rock, but when I was college aged I hated Pearl Jam, but I really like the musicality of this song. good job guys!

  • Pearl jam still proving there music is awesome compared to some shitty bands now

  • Eddie Vedder is today's Jim Morrison.

    He'll live forever!

    Long live Grunge!

  • Pearl Jam with blood in veins!!!

    And pulsating strong!!

    That's all we need.

Anxiously waiting for you in Brazil.

    Seeya

  • i luv this song.i already put it as ma first song on myspace

  • at first i didnt lile it much, but now i think it ranks up there with daughter and rats and maybe elderly woman, but never gonna get close to black, state of love and trust and specially breath. this comments might get you mad, but we're all entitled to share our fucken opinions, and if you dont like it well shove it your stupid reply up your ass.

  • Hey, every artist has older work that is always going to be considered their best work by their supportive fans which is fine but it does not mean they stop being creative. This is a pretty good tune! A lot harder then the CD version as well.

  • to me, bands like fall out boy dont even exist. That whole emo genre i can care less about, seriously. its a waste of time.

  • Better band...

  • Pearl Jam rule

  • again, again, again

PJ once again prove that they rocckkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Comment removed

  • Waaaaaaaaaaay better than fall out boy, Dude.

how can you even compare the two? Pearl Jam would knock them way off the charts.

  • He wasn't comparing them just saying and I agree that the beginning it sounds like the fall out boys lead singer's voice.

  • if you think it sounds LIKE fall out boy, then that's comparing.

but Pearl Jam still totally kills every other band.

  • "this likes fall out boy" = Fuckn Idiot Don't even watch this video moron

  • Love it... Now been Love me some Stone Gossard for about 20 years.... ;)

  • this song is awesome. anyone thats lost anything, fight to get it back again

  • i personally like pearl jams new sound

  • pearl jam finaly made a song i like !!

  • this song is not special for true pearl jam fans

  • Acctually this song is special to true PJ fans... thats what makes us true fans. Yes, this isn't their best song, but it is still a great one. Pearl Jam is the best... anything they will make (doesn't matter how it sounds) I will love it!

  • yeah they are all great musicians and not only that but they're great people too so i have alot of respect for them.

  • I totally disagree with you, Pearlman83. This song has a lot of meaning. It's a Matt Cameron track and it really sheds light on the creative process and how a band has to work together to make the songs work.

  • ok, I made a mistake saying that on behalf other fans

I like the song but for me there are dozens of better pj songs than this one, included others in the new album

  • naa mate u totally right its a great song but there are better pj songs but yea :)

  • kurt cobain still wouldnt like it LoL i do tho

  • I saw the video this morning on my TV on VH1...this song is not bad at all...but my favorite song is black definitly...sorry for my bad English...

  • your English is better than at least 90% of people on youtube

  • This is great!! It seems as though PJ is back to making good music again, and not music that is so politically charged. Can't wait for more tour dates to be posted.

  • Its funny people say this is the new sound of Pearl Jam. Sounds to me they just got back to kicking ass like they used to back in the day. Great fuckin song

  • Was not a Pearl Jam fan but Damn that rocked my world. Newly converted.

  • Good: band, song. Bad video...

  • Backspacer will be huge...

  • new song is god

  • this is one of those few performances that make you actually feel like you're there

then again that may just be the screaming crowd XD

  • PJ seems to know what music!!!!!

  • Goddamn, this tune makes my mood go up up up

  • brilliant pearl jam, cannot wait for the album and the concert

  • They were never gone!!! Just trying different things and proving that they are diverse and that all they really care about is making music.

  • class

  • I`m FIGHTING to get the FIRE back again

    THX PJ, thx EDDIE

Eddie is a survivor of a dissociative disorder, no wonder considering the chaos he has gone through.

PJ mantras have held me up when I was busted up and broken covered in face-blood, carrying my shadow flag, when I tasted my life wasted!!!

Pearl Jam will never fade. The light resides in us all. THey REmind us of hope in harsh times.

  • esta gente es la mejor!!!

  • Pearl jam...Thanks Again!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome

  • Actually I've never really liked Pearl Jam, but I have to say I think this song is very good. The video is a little cheesy it really smells (reeks) of teen spirit, guess it's a Seattle thing. Hope the rest of the disc sounds as good!

  • I'm in the same boat dude. This song's awsome.

  • If this is like Teen Spirit, then every video that ever featured a band performing, since 1991, must be as well. If you're still drawing comparisons between Nirvana and Pearl Jam, then you've failed to understand the band that PJ is today.

  • Of course every band or performer who features a performance centered video isn't imitating Nirvana that's ridiculous. Performance based music videos have been around since the 60's. The comparison between the video "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and this one was based on the crosscutting and editing techniques used. The songs are nothing alike, and I apologize for not having the same deep emotional bond and understanding that you and Pearl Jam share.

  • These techniques are commonplace. I still feel there's very little similarity between Teen Spirit and this. And yeh, Pearl Jam means a lot to me, as it does to most of the people who posted here. I'm not ashamed to admit it, so I don't quite see the point in your sarcastic remark there.

  • Comment removed

  • OK you're right. PJ fans are worse than Dave Mathews fans geez.

  • Yeh we're all nice people who share a common interest. Fucking tragic, isn't it..

  • Actually now that I've listened several times I don't like it so much, it sounds like old "Samiam." Ahhhh....tragic.

  • Glad to see you can hold a grudge.

  • Glad to see you pack the fudge!

  • What are you? 12??

  • On a scale of 1 to 10.

  • HAHAHAHAH DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS

  • No worries cocksucker!

  • Please learn The Internet, wiseguy.

  • If I'm Wise I would already know it. You should think a little more before you reply, or just stop replying at all.

  • What? How do you figure.....This video has nothing to do with Smells Like Teen Spirit video. You are prob some 13 yr. old poser who thinks he knows everything about music because he owns a Kurt Cobain T-shirt.....

  • Eddie Bed Wetter!

  • Boohoo....

  • uhuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllllllllllll

  • awesome, pearl jam still has it 2 rock out. love 'em.

  • Pearl Jam: The Fixer = U2: Vertigo.

Now before all the hate starts rolling in, what I mean is that here is a band that has come full circle. They have gone through style and mood changes over the years searching for meaning and expression, and have come back to basics, finding that the exhilaration of a high-energy, simple well-written rock song is its' own reward.

  • absolutely amazing, as always. So inspiring. blowing my mind since the 90s. I love me some PJ. :P

    can't wait to hear more!!

  • When I heard this song for the first time - with a fake video - I didnt like it at all. But

watching Pearl Jam playing it live - now

I fucking LOOOOVVVEEEE this song! It has alot of power within.

  • Stop listening with your eyes man!

  • Very upbeat! I hope the new album also has this vibe.

  • old school kind of video

    old school kind of music

    old school kind of melody

    old school kind of lyrics

old school kind of rock'n roll

    just... amazing

    always, always, always...
