The Manufacture Zenith is one of those real Swiss houses, classic, beautiful and makes some fantastic movements and watches. Perhaps a step lower in refinement than Patek Philippe/ A. Lange und Sohne but nevertheless fantastic.
This Chronomasters' El Primero movement is what a Boeing 747 is to the present skies...not the most recent, not the most fuel-efficient but still a fantastic top-design from the 60's that still awes every time it takes off...
@mariopica, How nice to read of someone so taken by a beautiful timepiece such as this. In this age of inexpensive mass produced quartz movements, it makes mechanical watches even more attractive. I hope one day you're able to afford the watch of your dreams, I know it will be greatly appreciated.
@cernuous That's very nice of you to wish on anyone. This watch is a dream for me too. This Zenith commercial is a great example of a company taking the viewer for a ride inside its world of micro engineering and making you understand what's involved like the number of parts that must work together flawlessly for operation. Very true, that it makes you appreciate mechanical watchmaking to the max. More than any quartz watch could ever do.

I love mechanical watches. I can not own expensive ones but I like to read and
see videos about them. There is a good forum called Timezone where we can
find a lot of good material about watches.
