I do historical reenacting all the time, so its funny to watch this and see all the 80's New Wave imagery thrown in with attempts to portray a period like the Depression. But for what it is, this truly was indeed cutting edge for 1984 and a damn good song. It was a favorite then, and still is.

Terri Nunn had a great voice, but she didn't get much recognition for it, similar to Benatar. I guess you don't if you're the lead singer in a rock or synthpop band. Jessica Simpson did a horrible cover of "Take My Breath Away", didn't even come close to the original. Thankfully for Jessica, she has gorgeous breasts.

This is one of those videos that I wish I'd never seen. The image I always got in my head when I heard this song was an urban setting in the 80's. Not some Depression Era Western.
