@mcmillenjaney Hi! Thanks for the comment. Dumping syndrome is seen commonly with the gastric bypass procedure, not the gastric sleeve, although it is said to happen in up to 15% of patients with the sleeve. If you'd like to know more about the syndrome I would recommend you go to Wikipedia and type in "Dumping Syndrome". Hope this helps.
WOW....Dr you are great...I love how you explain everything. If my insurance did not cover my sleeve her...I would have come straight to you. Thank you.
These videos are fabulous! It answers so many of my questions! I had a very sucessful VGS done a month ago, but love the visual you give us! Thanks!!!
@bia22222 Welcome! I'm glad you like the videos. My idea is to help people and educate patients interested in the gastric sleeve. Congratulations on your surgery. Enjoy this journey!
just found your videos today. Thank you so much for posting them! I'm in the process of trying to get a VSG. The paperwork was just submitted to my insurance company so fingers crossed! Great, great information. I had pictured paper staples and wondered how they held!
Greetings. I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. The ones that I've watched so far have been exceptionally informative. I greatly appreciate them. Thanks!
Hi! You can have MRI's but radiologists suggest you wait at least 2 months after you have the sleeve done to have an MRI. In other words let the sleeve heal nicely then you won't have any problems. Hope this helps!
If I didn't have insurance you would def. be my choice for a surgeon... Great information thank you for making these videos... Love the little stomach pillows you give out... you seem like a great caring surgeon...
I am planning on having the sleeve done this summer. What is "dumping" that I hear mentioned on some of the peoples videos who have had the surgery?

You should mount the one-use-only staple gun to a plaque and give it to the patient as a souvenir.

This is a cool demo. Hard to believe I had this done in October 2010, had no issues at all. Different doc, but this one seems cool.
