I got a summons but it's not happening, not only do I have a child to take to school & pick up but I have degenerative disc disease in my back, no way am I sitting in one spot longer than a half an hour, if they want a doc's note or my xrays they can have them. Why in 2011 is this still mandatory is beyond me, it's antiquated & archaic to force someone to do this, if anything I'd want someone on my jury that volunteered not someone who was forced & just wants to go home.

The only good thing about jury duty is time off from work and getting paid by your employer or company , hahaha :) And to be honest with you, going to court everyday and having to listen to some boring judge and lawyers talk about a case is a small price to pay in exchange for some time off work :) Now, if you have a family to take care off or your currently unemployed, I can see understand
I intentionally and deliberately violated a court summons to appear for jury duty and am awaiting arrest for this violation. I am indigent and homeless due to the corruption of 12 judges.

If you want peopel to serve JD the first thing you courts must do is get rid of the shotgun behind your head tactic, it only makes people hate it even more when some government forces you to do something against your will. Secondly, offer people something they can use that makes going alittle better like Example: offer movie tickets, free lunch at Subway, free coffee at Starbucks, one paid groceries, we pay your utilities for the first month, stuff like that. "YOU GET IT!"
How about religious. Jesus Christ said "Do not Swear", yet our masonic court system makes people swear.
Also, the government can not force somebody to incriminate themselves under the constitution. Yet they force people to speak under oath under penalty of perjury.
Interestingly enough, when they make people swear under oath (possibly incriminating themselves) a judge breaks their sworn oath of office to "Protect and Defend the constitution". That means they commit Perjury, a felony.
What about a myriad of other possibilities. My sister is dying of stage IV liver cancer and I may be called at any time to visit her on the other side of the country. What about personal and religious beliefs that forbid judging another person. "Only God can judge the guilt or innocence of a human being." What about the fact that the US imprisons nonviolent citizens at a rate 7 times higher than Canada? I have a strong support of a human being over an imperialistic system. This is weak.
