Excellent groupe " Les shadows" qui ont repris brillament la superbe chanson de Gilbert Bécaud " je t'appartiens". Trés beau partage. Un grand merci pour ce plaisir. Amicalement Aline
Nice clip, with "Weired! guitars, Yes John Rostill bass has his Burns Shadows bass from 64, but the guitars Bruce and Hank guitars are Baldwin prototypes? dont know, they are standard Burns Marvins with separate scratchplates, in fact the small top ones are missing!! A mystery!!!!!!!!!!
Hiya, i'm French too + a Shadows' fan since...oops! very long !!! It took me years to find the few info i have on John Rostill + i know a biography was written some years ago. Do you know how i could get it plz ? I keep on trying every single year in vain. If anyone can help, plz you're very welcome !!!!
Thanks for all the beautiful pieces you put here that help people know John was one of the best bass players !!! Take care + keep on listening to the Shadows !
it's so good to hear it... I'm 30, i remember when i was younger, my father used to listen this disc "the sound of the shadows", i thought that was "old music for old people" but after few listening, i discovered all the wealth of this sound and it also gave me the will to learn guitar (i still play today) ^_^ thanks (and sorry for my english: i'm french ^^)
Thats quite ok your english is fine. I am only 38 myself and been a life time shadows fan and kinda know what you mean. The Shadows have been around for such a long time and have been admired by so many age ranges, whether this is to listen to them or to have taken up the guitar. Their music shall go on on and i shall never tire of listening to it and being a fan

Merci a "treborseul" pour avoir rappellè que l'auteur est le grand Gilbert Becaud!.
Many famous songs were written by this legend of the french music, but many people think they are american or english songs
