I WONDER HOW THE OLG FOLKS ARE AT HOME---THINK IT WAS IN THE 50S--HOW I LOVE THAT SONG--I ALSO LIKE THE WILD SIDE OF LIFE--OH HELL I COULD GO ON AND ON--TY JOHN
OH HOW I MISS THIS KIND OF MUSIC---RIGHT ON MAX WISEMAN---OF COURSE ALL THE FARMS ARE GONE--BUT WE CAN KEEP IT IN OUR HEARTS---MUSIC IS SOMETHING THE WORLD CANT TAKE FROM ONE--ITS INSIDE--TY JOHN
Born in '62 to parents from the hollers of WVa, my first memories of recorded music as a little boy was pulling out Mac Wiseman's, "Songs of the Dear Old Days" album and I wore that record out. Mac will never know the profound impact he made on me growing up and I've introduced my Detroit City girl wife - who by the way, never knew what Bluegrass was - to Mac's music. A very, very special talent and there'll never be another one like him. We love you, Mac!
Mercy me - how can you ever beat a great voice like Mac's, fabulous fiddle playing, banjo pickin' and mandolin pickin'? This is what great country music/bluegrass is all about. Mac can do it all. I've always loved Mac and his music and, of course, Chubby is the man. We met Mac at Renfro Valley in the early 90's when he came to watch the show. He wouldn't get up and sing for everyone, sad to say, but it was wonderful to shake his hand and brag on this super artist. Thanks for this. - Paula
Chubbyfan, any friend of Chubby Wise is a friend of mine! How many fiddlers have been so highly regarded in both bluegrass and country? Hank Snow's autobiography has some hilarious stuff about Chubby, too.
@Chubbyfan100 - Mac has been my favorite for many years, I'm just happy that you have made his music available. I will continue to check in and listen, Wayne - Ontario Canada
A musical feast, memorable!***

I used to listen to Mac on The Wheeling Jamboree when I was a kid growing up in the 50's. I miss the old WWVA radio in Wheeling West Va.

Wonderful your Mac live see.
Mac is today the last man of the first generation of bluegrass artist (with Earl Scruggs). Mac is my absolute faforite bluegrass-singer.

I assume he's playing this is E-- wiseman, in a rather simple way, amazes me with his fingering of the E chord-- it's as if he made it up himself.

Mac Wiseman is one of the few artists of ANY genre who sounds better live than on his albums. His guitar picking & vocals are the real deal!
