lol! it comes from havving a turbo when it spools its forcing air into the engine...when u let off the gas the air has to go somewhere besides the motor hence the blow off valve

My 2 never builds up a lot of pressure in first. It takes until about 3,500 RPM's before it starts to even boost at all. I'm getting the SSQV soon though so we'll see what happens.

Yup. Anytime you enlarge the exhaust plumbing, you get a throatier sound, at the expense of a louder idle droan. Give and take. Higher horsepower, but crappier off-the-line gusto.

Most MR2 like this one are over 18 years+ and if they're clean, u know they babied it.. so they not going to sell it. If they do sell, it's not gonna be cheap. I own one myself, and im not selling mine either lolz. Eventho, my MR2 Turbo is a daily car, but I keep it fresh and clean.

My local toyota dealer has a 92 in the lot. I asked him to sell it to me several times and even went in with a blank cheque and he won't sell it, says it's to valuable.

It's sitting in the lot with 2 flat tires, super faded paint in direct sunlight. Hasn't moved in about a year.

Yeah it's easy to get that sound. Just take out your secondary catalytic convertic and replace your intake filter with a K&N element. Done.

Gen II & III are the model you are looking at. Gen I is the first gen; more of a boxy design. No turbo.

thats not stock exhaust i have an mr2 as well that is open DP the stock exhause is so quiet. how many car alarms do you set off in parking garages hahahahaha i love doing that ;)

It's stock JDM exhaust.

JDM's have a large primary catalytic converter like USDM models, but no secondary cat. That's why it sounds that way.

When I had a DP installed, it was even throatier and louder than that.
