Damn....Kim is kind considering he could play Slash into the ground any day of the week. "legendary" guitar player Slash?...PLEASE?....he wasn't bad....but cmo'n!
Go For A Soda is hardly Kim's finest moment, just a hit in the US. Try some Max Webster, like "America's Veins" off High Class in Borrowed Shoes. Tons of tone, a great riff. A solid wail, then some tasty shredding...along with some fine keyboards by Terry Watkinson.
Slash has become a guitar icon, yes. And he's earned it. However, the interviewer, Kim Mitchell, is EVERY bit the talent. He is of Max Webster fame and a long-running solo career. Kim is on my top-10 list of guitar players. Fantastic. The guy was WAY ahead of his time with Max and he deserves so much more respect as a player, artist and songwriter.
For those who dont know Kim Mitchell is an awesome Canadian rocker who has a career that has spanned over 30 years both as the lead singer guitarist for Max Webster and a solo artist, its way cool to see two amazing musicians having a great chat,,different than the usual interview
