@km1500 If that is the case, then neither are the ones in any of Romero's films. Originally they were defined as living humans controlled by someone via magic. Then Romero combined Zombies with Vampires; thus you got flesh eating ghouls ( he borrowed a lot of ideas from "the last man on earth"). 28 days later re-invented them again via viral infection. Just cause Romero defined them a certain way, does not mean for the rest of TIME they have to be portrayed that way. Get a clue man.
