In general I think these guys are pretty good and get it right most of the time. What I don't get is the need to play everything at lightning speed. Henry Reed, the source of 'Texas' played faster than most and these guys are playing significanly faster than him and much faster than this tune is usually played. Faster is not better.

I happen to know them both very well and I can tell you, with respect, that they are well aware of that. They're just enjoying the music in their own way. I have heard them play the same tune before, much slower than this, too. Just as faster isn't better, slower isn't either. The speed doesn't change the quality of the tune.
