I dont get it why the end has to be sad and happy, you get freedom and you go back to the earth(city) and they put you a sad song like movies and they make you remember all the moments all the lvls and some ppl start feeling sad for Wheatley. I love it the end but i hate it sometimes i can go to sleep without feeling guilty for Killing Wheatley or not keep testing or what happend next but if theres something everybody knows is, That was the most beatiful end ive ever see :).

@LemonatedOrange As ive understood it, the cores you put into wheatly are corrupted (I mean look at how they acted) while the ones you removed from GladOS were vital parts of her.

@LemonatedOrange You sure she was working perfectly? I mean, the whole place seems to have gone to hell in a handbasket. Plus i think these cores are just different parts of the interface piece of GladOS and Wheatly. And also look at Wheatly as a minor core and GladOS as a minor core stuck to the energy source known as the potato. Those seemed to be personality cores, there are probably a bunch of different kind of cores. Not all of them visible either. Im just theorising tho'

Here's the story: cave Johnson was dieing from the moon rock he turned to dust to make the portal gun so he got his

engineers to make artificial intelligence where he could place his personalities into and pretty much live forever but it didn't get built before he died so instead they pretty much made a copy of Caroline and put her in GLaDOS which is the AI the engineers built.

@spongenote I don't know about everybody, but I didn't. It is a common trick known to film for years and used now in this game by keeping people in very similar areas and making them think that's all that exists in that world and breaking them from the shell at the end in front of some mood music. It works well, but knowing the trick takes away from it.
