I love how people are all complaining that the distortion is out whack. Ever taken a good look at your amp, whether it be a piece of shit 10 watt amp or a full out pro combo amp thats 100 watts plus? theres more than 3 knobs on each amp. the ones Middle, Treble and Bass are what you're looking at, not distortion. He's got his EQ ( equalizer or mixture of previously stated 3 knobs ) all messed up... Too much bass, and not enough treb or mid.... minor tweaks, not the distortion...

@metalnavi20 you have a trem? put a strat knob between the tone block and the wood behind it (on the opposite side of the springs) and add paper or whatever's needed until it's perfectly level. then loosen the springs a LOT (so that the strings put more tension on the bridge then the springs do) and tune to what you want. and dont take the locking nut off. then youll have a super stable fixed bridge with fine tuners! Just a suggestion: for drop A, use a .13 to .68. works fucking amazing!

@cwinget2580 You need to break out of the mindset that guitars are designed for specific genres. EVERY guitar can play EVERY genre. That happens to be a Jim Root tele. Its DESIGNED to be in drop b.

@BeHemoth481000 yes but if you have a guitar with light strings you need to bring your guitar to your local guitar shop and get your guitar set up for heavy strings because if you dont get your guitar set up and you have heavy strings on your guitar wont stay in tune.

QUESTION!

I own a Dave Mustaine VMNT Endgame custom, and i have 12 gauge strings, would a VMNT play that thick of string or do i need to get my guitar set up for it?? someone please answer!

@SynysterPepsi Everytime you change the gauge of the strings, you must re-set it up. If it came with .12 gauge strings on it, no, you can just leave it, but if it has anything lower, yes you need to set it up. You can do it yourself though. I just set up my guitar on my own last night with .12's in Drop A., and I taught myself how to do it. Just sayin'. It's cheaper.

@linkindudeLP It's a pain to set the intonation properly when changing to a much lower tuning. This is especially true with lower and drop tunings with a Floyd Rose tremolo.

@1alecxg yeah. i have 10-60's on my 1991 ex, and im not very fond of them. i just havent had time to go across town to have a custom set put together for me. and depending on what style you play, 12-60 may work for you. given that everybody's preferences are different and a tele is shorter scale than a wizard II neck, its hard to say unless you get a set and try them out.

Should use 11 or12guage with whatever string you prefer when dropping B or lower gets rid of that squirly out of tune sound.And for tone,the best tone I ever had was with Les Paul or SG with EMG active pickups,5150 head,Old Ibaneze tube screamer,mx muff and Boss noise surpressor and delay pedal.I think Zakk has a set of strings out from boomer with the 6th string like a fucking bass string for the drop A?I suck so wtf do I know,cool vid dude,thanks for sharing \m/
