hi im an amateur, so my advice could be rubbish. but what I sometimes find helpful is to pretend that i am going to hit the coloured ball directly. this way i know which spot i want to hit with the cue for the coloured ball to go into the pocket
Hello, reader. If you started reading this, don't stop or else. I hate people who post these kind of comments but.... There's a better way, see "The Cut Shot dot com" No Ghost Balls, Imaginary Lines, Devices or Gimmicks! I show you what part of the object ball to hit and what part of the cue ball to hit it with, and how to determine those parts! All of these instructional videos and books on aiming cut shots using the Ghost Ball or Imaginary Lines are way over complicating matters. It should be as simple as connect the dots, and that's exactly what I teach!
@the47alex sixcues owns a website to sell a book that teaches a "technique" that is bogus. To aim, there's no way around understanding the ghost ball principle. Practically every accurate technique is just some variation of the ghost ball method. If anyone tries to tell you they have a new secret aiming technique that works every time without having to imagine anything, they are probably full of bs. Especially if they are selling a book.
