Walmart made 419 billion this year. How much does an worker make in Muskogee OK, about $6.88 after taxes. How has to pay for the workers that walmart won't pay a better wage for. You do. Why are you paying more in sales tax, etc, to pay for food stamps for the workers that cant make it on the low pay? People in poverty take in more tax help than they pay out in taxes. It would be best not to have poverty, because it cost too much! It's your money!
Its a highly successful organization because its their blood sweat and tears to make the Rich wealthier. Not to mention their poor attitudes towards their own employees and minimum wage benefits, They display strong buisness skills and are extremely greedy in the process. Like Obama said, They need to start paying honest wages and offering medical benefits, and let the people organize. The solution is simple, STOP PURCHASING PRODUCTS UNTIL THEY COMPLY!
Down with Wal-Mart. If they're low prices are based on exploiting their workers and their manufacturers for buying their products for pennies, than that it not a successful business to me.
This is B.S.: If unions like UFCW wanted to 'help' these employees, they'd stress job training and education, so these guys could get the hell out of WalMart. Looks to me instead like they see that big WalMart pie, and want a big big piece of it for themselves.
