I listened to Awake in a Dream since 2004 I was 7 when I first saw him in concert sit my grandma in medicine hat, I never knew the meaning to the song till now and even after the concert he was talking to his grandparents and my grandma I asked him wat his song met he explained it to me but never got it till 6 years after

I like Jacob Hoggard's version better, too. Based on voting earlier in the competition (and the fact that Jake is the only former CI contestant who still has a successful career), Jacob probably would've won if he hadn't asked fans not to vote him through.

Kalan's isn't bad, but his voice just doesn't seem to suit him, and I like the way Jacob sang the melody better; where he slows down, or plays with the notes. Just a personal opinion. (:
