@FinalAndre suprizingly i keep repetedly finding them at super store lol its around $9 which is a great deal but displeasing how great the game is and low costly games are usually liek superb great in plot and everything else

This has to be one of the most saddest stories I have ever played in a game...yet this game is great!...there was no reason for it to get the low ratings that it did, there is not a single fucking thing to dislike about this game. The story is amazing, the music is breath-taking, the combat is fun and fast, the characters are loveable and devola and Popola are most likely the two hottest twins EVER. *Ahems* anyways...I love this game and to anyone who says it sucks...you support terrorismn

When I walked out of Nier's house and began exploring the field, I was wondering if this game was going to be disappointing. Then I talked to Devola and thought "what a nice voice." After that, I ran around aimlessly for a while, but as I cross the fountain, I realized, that this game was going to awesome!

I got this game and it's not bad. I've only just met that Emil kid so maybe I'm not far into the game? I'm just not fond of the repetative nature of always going to Popola, the on a mission, then back to Popola, then on another mission, then back to Popola, then to the house, then to Popola. Oi...I need some variation in the scenery.

And when I found out there were two versions I was bummed we didn't get the version with a younger NieR. I want eye candy! I adore this track though.

@ururugi Today i've finished the game, i don't know how about you but, in the end im thinking that playing a "dad" is better than some youngster. I TOO was dissapointed at first, playing some old pal... but hey... he proved to be one of the most kickass-caring-kind hearted main character of all ages! He wasnt a looser at the start, like in most rpgs. he didnt need to grow up. He was strong from the very start! By strong i mean mentally, he had hard times doesnt he? I really loved the ending...

I personally found the ending to be very...confusing. I had to play it a second time with more information on Kaine and added scenes at the end to understand it better.

I agree that the older Nier makes more sense as to why he'd be so determined to save Yonah, but I still like my pretty boys LOL

I just got Nier and really pleasantly surprised so far, seems to be a quality game with gameplay depth, humour, adventure and interesting characters unlike FFXIII (which I stupidly put 500 hours into despite hating every minute of it). Also the soundtrack is amazing, ffxiii is just a dischordant cacophanous mess, this is really beautiful. Seems like graphics are the only thing that matters for review scores these days.

@Spiral757 But have you played it? And by almost all the games I say are good *cough* Dragon Age Origins *cough* end up being terrible - I think Dragon Age Origins was probably the only one that has happened with. NieR, on the other hand, started good and continued to amaze me the entire way.

@Kunarick I agree I love Nier, it thought it was a fantastic game and am happy I did NOT listen to reviewers. For now on Gamespot can go fuck themself because as it is if you dont PAY them your game gets a horrible review. And I'm sure they're not the only reviewers who accept 'pay' for reviews.

@Kunarick Nier wasn't a horrible game, but it definitely doesn't match up to DA Origins. The only problem I've had with DA Origins is that the difficulty scaling is crazy, and this is coming from someone who played Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale on the higher difficulties. =)

the game is amazing to me and other people and personally dragon age sucked to me and yes i played it i bought nier and have fallen in love with it beautiful scenery and an equally beautiful soundtrack. the fight style could have been better but what ever what game doesnt have flaws? boss fights are somewhat repetitive but hey it's still fun

@Spiral757 A game doesn't need to be epicly awesome to be a good game. The game Earthbound is a good game and is very memorable despite the graphics and graphic final boss. This game is a good one because it has an awesome soundtrack, a great story, and very good graphics, though the bad gameplay is a bit of a downer.

I agree that a lot of the games that are hyped up suck and the vice versa. NieR is not hyped up, so doesn't that make it a good game?

@Warriorsfan0111111 I got this a couple days ago as an early birthday present, and so far, the gameplay is anything but bad o_o Just outta curiosity, what didn't you like about it? I personally love the mix of Devil May Cry-style action (compare Nier's onehander fighting style to Dante's Ifrit Gauntlet style =P) and 3D bullet-hell. Been hooked ever since I first weaved through the statue twin's three-way bombardment.

Then I fought the security robot in the junk yard @___@

@Densoro Well, by gameplay I meant how the story had to be told. The majority of the game was fetch quests, which not everyone likes. The controls were very easy to use and fun, but the fetch-quest thing, not my bag of skittles.

@myshitez I'm not saying that the people have to lead you through it, I'm saying that how you constant;y had to go around to do favors for Popola and the other villagers. It gets pretty old, unless you kept everything interesting with added backstory. (There are a few quests like that.)
