The poor soul who think he can use photoshop to copy the contemporary art in the galleries is an idiot who don't understand what art is about!!! He think if he can copy the methods contemporay artist use to express their emotions or experience, he can make it in contemporary art, he is such a fool!! The youtube just show he got no insight into art. Maybe he must stick being an graphic designer using photoshop to display his shallow soul!
contemporary art and conceptual art are crap! I was told by a lecturer at college that a bucket of crap out side is a bucket of crap but bring it in to an art space and it becomes art! the same lecturer couldn't draw or paint anything meaningful, he was useless.
i could take a crap on a piece of paper.. and give it some meaning totally unrelated to a piece a crap, but yet i could convince people and make them see this piece of crap as... a work of 'contemporary' art!
There is truth in this video. This video right here is most likely made from an artist who is whining because they just cant understand anything about the art world. Because he/she is probably making realistic paintings of firetrucks (that they probably just referenced from a photograph) in he/she's basement hours on end... hell maybe even years. For What?. Because the world just needs it. The world just needs another fucking painting of a firetruck. Grandmas love that shit.
The very advanced visual culture that was achieved in middle age Europe (and Asia) had to be destroyed. The group who took over pictorial art as well as music in the early to mid-20th century, redefined those two arts for very clear political purposes. As a result, Art in the 21st century has no meaning whatsoever. It’s WHO promotes it, WHO sells it, WHO markets it, WHO appoints the "experts" that tells us what Beauty is. I expose that in my "Art" video.
You all seem so wise and incredibly modern.. I'm just daft, boring, stupid and ineducated.
My point is: contemporary artists are as doctrinaire and exclusive as their supposed enemies, the academicians and I'M SICK that those who speak out against it are derided as "past it". Concept art is so firmly "established", it is no longer promoted through reference to any criteria of aesthetics, but through the clever exploitation of the fear of "missing out".
What i try to show here is that this kind of art does not surprise me anymore, that it could be made at random. See stuckism for more info. Art for me is whatever that stays in my mind , made on purpose, and it is odd so it shocks me. I´m also an anty stylist, ¿is it possible to be more plural? Thank you for your comments
@mysweetbones Hey I'm a newbie artist. May I just ask what do the judges consider on a winning piece? I'm pretty sure there is a formula, I disagree that art is relative on the viewer because there are these certain qualities established in our subconscious through time that makes us say this art is good and this is bad.
Which personally do you think will win in a 2012 contest, a dramatic beautiful artwork (more like works of michaelangelo) or an artwork that tickles the mind(pablo picasso)?
Going to see art is nothing more and nothing less than entering in this drama of multiple subjective views of the world being offered to us with all their pleasures and frustrations. Ideologically, this world is not fundamentalist but rather it's pluralist. And I think that's one good thing contemporary art has to offer. (fin)
And things that seem useless and insignificant can, with a shift in perspective, become deeply meaningful. This is what art is about. And, ultimately, it is what makes art political in our time. It has to do with subjectivity and collective perceptions. The art viewer either agrees or refused to enter into the world of the artist and accept or refuses what is presented as meaningful. ...
Your questioning of contemporary art needs to continue. But, don't just see the cynical side. Remember what art gives you and celebrate that too. I always like to say that art is simultaneously completely insignificant and completely full of rich meaning. EEOOY is built on this paradox. Which is not a bad thing, because, everything in the world that seems important, with a shift of perspective, can crumble into nothing. ...

art is relative and ever changing there are no definitions or certainties.
art doesn't have to make a point that's the the best thing, its frontier culture.
so even a giant butterfly can be art.

Contemporary art has made you get up and go and produce your own version of it and now you have some reaction.

And don't forget the last art technique:
Post the critique of contemporary art on You Tube.
I agree there is a lot of shit out there, but it makes the jewels more precious.

It is not necessary to have good painting skills in order to be a comtemporary artist.
Read some books or magzines about comtemporary art.
