Secondly the ps3 has more online titles, more online shooter games, online games with better graphics and a variety. The Orange port being handled by a different developer means nothing, PS3 got a crap port that is all that matters. And when you say better or equal, it's more like worse, equal and in the case of bf3 better, but that is super rare.

Fact is they are still the most popular kind of games. 360 has a much better track record with them, therefore if you want to play multiplats, getting the 360 would be a better idea. If the PS3 exclusives appeal to you, you should get that and risk getting crap multiplat ports occasionally. If you wanted both well, then you have to make a choice.
@RagingUtai When a game comes out that I want, I check which console has got the better version in head to heads. Even if the difference is small I go for the slightly better one as I have both consoles anyway. Point is, I have a lot more games for my 360 than my PS3. Once again I'll agree PS3 has some great exclusives but I play my 360 games more than them mostly. I'm just saying it's not so black and white choosing a better console. Also personally, I have had a better experience with Live.

Foraza 2 has a 89. Just cause 2 got a 86! And you just think that ps3 is better because of "uncharted". Which its very overly cinemized! So is MGS4! Same thing with most games! Let's see what's online. xbox 360 has halo 3/odst, reach, gears1/2/3, Forza for online and the rest are multiplats. Ps3 has resisance 1/2/3, killzone 2/3, lbp 1/2, modnation racers, socome 2 and 4, mag, wipeout, fat princess, metal gear online, gt5, demons souls, uncharted 2/3 . Ps3 has more variety not only in exclusives but online exclusives and games that feature online features. The best multiplats look great on both consoles, some better on ps3.

The only mulltiplats being played besides gears of war and halo are the COD series and battlefield. All the COD's have less washed out textures and maintain a better framerate on the 360 version, look it up if you want. You are right about battlefield 3 though the PS3 version is better. In terms of single player exclusives, PS3 wins no doubt, but think about Skyrim, more popular single player game than any PS3 exclusive, PS3 version has worse textures, worse framerate and a game breaking bug.
Skyrim? both xbox 360 and ps3 look shit when compared to pc, and i've seen both xbox 360 and ps3 version. I finished the ps3 version with no dramas, except the rare odd frame rate issues. @RagingUtai And Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3) vs Nija Gaiden 2 (360). Number one, Sigma was released a whole year after Nija Gaiden 2, and they already had the progress they made with 2. Number two, Sigma has better textures, but way less enemies, basically no blood, hardly and decals. Its a trade off, personally i play Ninja Gaiden to slice limbs off a huge crowd of ninjas with blood going everywhere, not stand around looking at textures. I have both and Ninja Gaiden 2 is much more fun IMO.

Please go and find me highly critically acclaimed games that look significantly better on xbox 360 than on ps3. I can't help thinking that whenever this issue comes up that the games I play are cross platform and that I could quit easily get along nicely on both consloes. Though many of these games are developed on Xbox and are subsequently easier to develop and or encounter issues when porting them to Ps3, I still get the nagging feeling that if developed on Ps3 it could be much better and to a higher quality, to a standard exceeding the limits of the Xbox's hardware making it impossible to port over.
You make a good example for why people choose one over the other, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preferences, your totally biased an you know it. When it comes down to hardware PS3 has a marginal advantage in the range of things it is capable of, on the other hand Xbox is easer to develop for. One man's garbage is another man's treasure or in my case quite the opposite, I find that things you my like or dislike I think the exact opposite about certain things.
With the 360 I've had the best online experience so far. At £40 a year, I can't complain. That's fuckin' cheap. PS3 however, £40 a year for crappy discounts is all you're getting with PS Plus. No thanks! I tryed the 30 day trial when it got hacked, n it was garbage.

@RagingUtai I just looked it up, uncharted 2 has 84 out of 100. (which is not bad at all) Halo Reach a 97. Halo 3 has 82 but that game came out in 2007. Gears 3 has a 94. Gears 2 has a 89. Foraza 2 has a 89. Just cause 2 got a 86! And you just think that ps3 is better because of "uncharted". Which its very overly cinemized! So is MGS4! Same thing with most games! All ps3 is, is a fucking blu-ray player until i wait like 4-5 months for a new exclusive!

Let's see what's online. xbox 360 has halo 3/odst, reach, gears1/2/3, Forza for online and the rest are multiplats. Ps3 has resisance 1/2/3, killzone 2/3, lbp 1/2, modnation racers, socome 2 and 4, mag, wipeout, fat princess, metal gear online, gt5, demons souls, uncharted 2/3 . Ps3 has more variety not only in exclusives but online exclusives and games that feature online features. The best multiplats look great on both consoles, some better on ps3.

The only mulltiplats being played besides gears of war and halo are the COD series and battlefield. The cod series look almost identical across ps3 and xbox 360, while battlefield 3 looks better on ps3 than on xbox 360. You are wrong again. I will tell you again. All the COD's have less washed out textures and maintain a better framerate on the 360 version, look it up if you want. You are right about battlefield 3 though the PS3 version is better. In terms of single player exclusives, PS3 wins no doubt, but think about Skyrim, more popular single player game than any PS3 exclusive, PS3 version has worse textures, worse framerate and a game breaking bug.

Anyone who gets the ps3 version won't be dissapointed. Besides theres a new patch coming out, so ps3 users can be playing exclusives in the mean time! Battle field 3 isn't the only multiplat that looks better on ps3, ninja gaiden, mass effect2 and others.

@RagingUtai And Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3) vs Nija Gaiden 2 (360). Number one, Sigma was released a whole year after Nija Gaiden 2, and they already had the progress they made with 2. Number two, Sigma has better textures, but way less enemies, basically no blood, hardly and decals. Its a trade off, personally i play Ninja Gaiden to slice limbs off a huge crowd of ninjas with blood going everywhere, not stand around looking at textures. I have both and Ninja Gaiden 2 is much more fun IMO.

I can't help thinking that whenever this issue comes up that the games I play are cross platform and that I could quit easily get along nicely on both consloes. Though many of these games are developed on Xbox and are subsequently easier to develop and or encounter issues when porting them to Ps3, I still get the nagging feeling that if developed on Ps3 it could be much better and to a higher quality, to a standard exceeding the limits of the Xbox's hardware making it impossible to port over.

You make a good example for why people choose one over the other, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preferences, your totally biased an you know it. When it comes down to hardware PS3 has a marginal advantage in the range of things it is capable of, on the other hand Xbox is easer to develop for. One man's garbage is another man's treasure or in my case quite the opposite, I find that things you my like or dislike I think the exact opposite about certain things.
