  • And heaven knows, heaven knows

I tried to find a cure for the pain

Oh my Lord! To suffer like you do

It would be a lie to run away - beautiful

  • This guy is my musical inspiration with switchfoot and his solo albums. He is the reason I'm gaining respect as a musician and love as a person. I have this man to thank for my life, he raised me out of sadness and pointed me in the direction I needed to go. Thank God for Jon Foreman.

  • I have never understood why it is necessary to have debates, about anything, on YouTube. If you do not like religiously influenced music, then just simply don't listen to it. No one is forcing you to click the play button. Jon Foreman did not create his music for you to judge, he created it to praise Our God.

  • @shelblubs, :) totally agree.

  • BANANAPIELORD UNITE and the song is realy good btw

  • Who cares about Religion. I'm atheist and I love this song. Can't we just appreciate it for what it is.

  • @eftjminecraftserver its not about religion, its about Jesus Christ, Jesus isn't religion. Religion says do these things then you will go to heaven. Jesus Christ says I love you and I have taken away your sins. All you have to do is accept Him into your heart. Jesus Christ truly is who He says He is, inside this body is a spirit, the real you, and He died for you so you could live in peace with Him and with your Creator who created all things. Who knows us better than we know ourselves :)

  • @kako191919

don't know what you were responding to but Jesus set up the Church. why? He was a Jew, to expect JC to destroy Judaism rather than to fulfill it would be an hermeneutic of rupture.

You are not your own Pope, individual interpretations produces an interpretation per person, DIVISION, why would JC want division?

You must accept him in your heart, by becoming part of his mystical body, Holy Mother Church.

  • @arzeisel14 I am not a Jew. I was an Outsider God adopted through Jesus Christ. Its about a relationship with Jesus Chrst. Jesus Christ is my High Priest. I never said I was my own pope :) I don't even know what that means lol. but what I do say is Jesus Christ is bigger than Religion. He is the Son of God, who is God. And because He choose me to be His I am blessed forever. :)) And each day I want to get more and more closer to Him :) God bless you sir. :)

  • @kako191919, thank you so much for answering in love the truth because that is what God expects of us but many answer with hatred and curses. You shine the light of God by your words.

  • @kako191919 Praise God! That is awesome. I am too an Outsider who Jesus called. I guess you would call me a Gentile :) Thank God that in Romans it says we can be grafted into the olive tree, as well as His people (if we continue in His kindness, that is). God is so merciful and loving. He is the cure for our pain. Through Him, we can overcome. God bless! =)

  • @eftjminecraftserver, sure, a love song sung to a loving savior.

  • I don't care what this music is. It's beautiful and awesome. I love it anyways. >.<

  • Everyone has a different religon, and though only one is true (which is arguable), we should all be respectful to all.

  • ya i agree for that and also Allah.i respect all religions.

  • Be careful of wat u say about Jesus. He is the Lord. If u don't believe ask Him for yourself. This is to everyone who is saying bad stuff about Jesus

  • This song is about our human doubts and how quickly it can fall down when we turn our life to God.

Don't pretend that you can live a normal life without him, because even when you don't believe you are always putting your problems in His hands.

  • I've said this before, but if C.S. Lewis had written music, it would probably sound something like what Jon Foreman writes. He has a God-given gift.

  • love this song <3

  • God hasn't given him anything, his parents have. Idiots.

  • @sailxonxmusic yeah you came from a monkey...i can tell

  • @8kidsinall Retard.

  • His voice has been in my soul since I lived in sandiego 10 years ago :)

  • @XDLegacyOfSorrowDX What a beautiful thing to say

  • @chloelizlothario Aww thank you ^_^

  • soooooooooooo excellent.

  • can you say beautiful? Believer or not, its beautiful. Thank the Lord for music. <3 God bless everyone listening.

  • All I can really say is...wow.

  • i'm nor a super religious person (i do believe in God tho) but this song is just beautiful :)

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

  • I love this song, it is so beautiful

  • ... wish i could get all these ep's but dont got the money.... oh some day though. some day! God bless him and everyone in the world.

  • This song is about God, how can we not talk about God, He's the greatest. I hope someday you'll realize this too.

  • stop talking about god its a music video

  • Love hurts so much...It stabs at me like a knife so much sometimes...God and music got me throught the hardest times in my life, when I've lost love, lost friends, lost passion, but gained brothers in christ and faith that is strong. The love that crushed me now sets me free and Jon Foreman really embodifies my ephemeral pain and the redemption and hope.

  • Wow. This fits with today so much. 9-11, Not Forgotten

  • To whoever disliked this video:ill pray for u. and may you find God in ur life. He loves u, u kno. And as Brothers and Sisters in Christ, i think we shud all love the person who disliked this and pray for them.

    Thumbs up if u agree!!!

  • TRUE LOVE

  • The thing I like most about Jon Foreman is how raw his lyrics and voice are... Truly amazing to me. :)

  • Can anyone say lyrical genius! I love his music. God has given him an incredible gift.

  • @ConcerningtheKing yea i wish i could just sit with him for an hour to get some pointers! ha ha

  • Zero dislikes...I love it!

  • this is probably the most powerful song ive ever heard, yet so true. This song is truly a life saver

  • I LOVE the honesty and the hardcore heart-felt-ness in this song.

I don't exactly have a decent way to put it lol.

But it's just beyond beautiful. <3

  • love this songgg <33333

  • Very sad sad song. But it was enjoyable to listen to.

  • o céu sabe

Eu tentei achar uma cura para a dor... very good!!!

  • im in looooove with this song!:)

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. This song has carried me through my doubt, when I turn to everything but the only one who can save me. This song is lovely on it's own. But I like to listen to this song layered behind Levi the Poet's work. It's beautiful.

  • There is no religion in this, this is pure worship to God. He realizes we can only make it if Jesus is with us ,Jesus is the only cure for our pain.

  • Wondeful song. I absolutely love it!

  • I couldn't stop crying when I first listened to this song. This song is so beautiful and yet sad too.

  • beutiful song thanks for this

  • hahahahaha. Love him and the song(:

    not the Religeon(: just sayin'(:

  • @RISINGPLAGUES9 Well the song is about feeling pain like God does and having it bring you into a closer relationship with Christ..

  • i love, love, his voice. this song, all of it.

  • I'm the second to comment...so let me do it big...THIS MAN IS UBER TALENTED AND JESUS HAS USED HIM TO SPREAD HIS LOVE ALL AROUND THE WORLD IN A VERY SIGNIFICANT WAY! its soooooooo amazing to see that...Thanks Jon Foreman for sharing your gift and walk with Christ with us.

  • @Risse526. Well spoken. That was an awesome comment.

  • @Risse526 There's no such thing as "jesus". Don't act like Jon's got his talent of a non-existing person. Lol

  • @sailxonxmusic It is literally idiotic to argue the existance of Jesus. There is way too many historical facts proving the existence of Jesus. You can refute the fact that he wasn't God or something (still a dumb argument, but less dumb) but you definately cant argue his existence

  • @Supastaab Lmfao the only historical facts are fucking books and they're fucking nonsense man. Get a grip.

  • @sailxonxmusic hey hey hey.. idk what your influenced by but there is more proofs of existence of Jesus than the non-existence...people who tries to prove that he didn't exist usually have something against him. its like saying the school is teaching all false history because pretty much everything is in the book, oh and btw the bible isn't the only book that prove Jesus existed if that's what your referring to the "nonsense" your talking about.. ಠ.ಠ

  • @Loksan777 Maybe there was a person out there who did a lot of good things for people. But honestly, the stories in the bible are more fictional than anything else. Things like him walking on water and bushes that catch fire without reason are just pure bullcrap. + Maria could'nt have gotten pregnant without having sex, because that is simply impossible. And the possibility that jesus was real doesn't mean god is too. Pretty sure it's mostly fictional.

  • @sailxonxmusic from what i see in your comments, you don't believe in such "bullcrap" or "miracles". i totally understand that, but there are just things that can't be explained simply through science. but who knows? i have personally experienced a lot of things, there are a lot of things that can make you believe in miracles through God. instead of being locked up in your little philosophy, explore and research from the perspective of everyone not just atheists or neutral non-believers.

  • @Loksan777 Of course there are certain things that can't be explained. If you knew me, you'd also know that I've got a lot of experience with those kinds of things. But to me, it's absolutely ridiculous to dedicate your life to something of which you don't even know if it exists. The things some christians do for their "god" is just unbelievable and ridiculous. If you believe in the god of the bible, you believe in evil.

  • @Loksan777 And I think we might as well stop this conversation here. I'll do my best to respect what you believe, and I hope you can do the same. If I've offended you, I apologize. I don't think this discussion will get us anywhere, so let's end it here.

  • @sailxonxmusic i agree :) i respect what you believe in also and i also apologize if i also offended you. what a complicated world we live in! But really, try to ask an expert if you want the truth! it helped a lot for me to understand "why" and "how" to many people's questions :D

  • @Risse526 i'm sorry but i disagree with you. Jesus does not use him to spread his love.. Jon Foreman felt Jesus love and this is his expression how he feels it. So Jesus is not using but inspiring him.

  • Amazing. <3
