Y'know, I loathe Bush--but I don't mind this. I'd have been just as useless up there, and 98% of you would have been, too. At least he gave it a try, and he didn't display overt racism unlike his pal MC Rove. The one thing I WOULD nitpick is that he very rudely budged in on that drummer... but as for the dancing, meh, he was polite to go along with it.

It's embarassing to watch, but it would be just as much if that was me up there. I'm no Bush fan, but I think sometimes life is just awkward. He seemed to at least try to get into the spirit of it, despite his obvious embarassment.

I don't think G.W.Bush expected to be invited to shake his body by the African drummers...He tried to be polite and was visibly quite embarrassed. I don't blame him but the performers for the breach of protocol. He is not an African president so they shouldn't have expected him to feel comfortable with a typically African rhythm.
