  • @moobearus, you are spot on...Mick Taylor is/was badass!

  • The best stones songs were made when Mick Taylor was with the Stones - there is no question about that!

  • Now this is what I call Rock N' Roll! Accept no substitute!

  • maybye id take the ny dolls over trashy here being we're smack dab in 72 but this is good and mick thinks he looks gorgous!

  • I was there, chicago, afternoon show.....awesome.

  • wud really appreciate someone forwarding a link to this song done by the stones after 1975 that rocks anywhere close to this. mt was an incredible virtuoso - even micky stops prancing around at 3:20 or so and looks back at him askance-like, "wtf is this guy doin here - stealing MY show?"

  • Brian Stones= original version Mick Taylor Stones= in their prime version Woody Stones= show biz version.......

  • Mick Taylor makes it look so effortless.

  • Mick Taylor and Waylon Jennings may be the most underrated guitarist of all time.

  • @mrbobevans I saw a Rolling Stone magazine last week (11/ 25/11) that had Mick Taylor @ #36(?) in a list of the top 100 guitarists of all time. They had him behind George Harrison and John Lennon. I liked the fab 4 just as much as anyone but I don't think George could come close to Mick Taylor. Also , Terry Kath of Chicago was left off the list(or I just didn't see his name. No wonder that rag has shrunk to the size of a Readers Digest.

  • @DrHogfan Ha ha ha ! :-)

    i agree..

  • Taylor's guitar sings -- sorry Ronnie

  • @Andoy1 Ronnies guitar ROCKS !!

  • @gittahfiend what!!!!!??????? no fuckin ronnie you twit

  • this is the stones are the best..pure rock n roll.

  • To all comments on Mick T, esp. from LLPGNemo, that's a BIG Amen. Mick T was the best guitarist to ever play as a Stone. Added true musical virtuosity to the band. Of course at some point the Stones almost hired Ry Cooder and/or Jeff Beck - either of those line-ups would have ROCKED. But Mick T back with the band would be huge.

    Just sayin' ...

  • @caseyscherm i agreee. saw them in hawaii in january of 73 and they killed it!

  • The whole band are really kickin' ass on this tune. I like Mick Jagger's flat singing sometimes. I really didn't hear him go flat here. Ron Wood could/can play note for note what Mick Taylor did on slide, only it would b sloppy. Keith is a performer now for sure 'cause he doesn't even play while he's on stage.

  • @LLPGNemo - for real...

  • A;ways a favorite

  • This is for me (:

  • mick taylor? yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!!!!!

  • As good a slide player as Ronnie is (and he is one of the greats), his style seemed to worked a bit better for Rod and the Faces than for the Stones. Taylor's ringy-dingy leads on top of Keith's riff-housing was just tits. See the film "Ladies & Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones" from Dallas in 1972 (same tour as this).

  • The Stones rock with every decade they play. The backbone is Charlie and Bill, but with Mick Taylor on the slide, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

  • awesome thanks for posting...some.of the best years for the stones were with mick t...no offense to brian of course

  • Simply fantastic....The stones defined everything a rock and roll band should be...Mick T and Keith made magic.,

  • Gee does Mick need some back up singers or what?

  • MICK;....WWHATTA FAG

  • @iorioriorio

    you are the faggot :)

  • @iorioriorio wish u looked like him...hater lol

  • @iorioriorio

    now thats just a lie

  • Bill and Charly are the Rolling of the Stones.

  • American Idol kid.. you did not invent 'the tail!!" (and maybe Mick did not either, but .. just sayin..!)

  • Taylor plays great, but who dressed him?

  • @CatapultYourMom thats funny

  • fantastic..

  • Mick Taylor is like 19 or 20 in this video. How the heck do you get so good so fast??? How do you get so good--period?

  • @pilate10

    mick t. was 23

  • One of my fave Stones Tunes. Mick Taylor may not have been an overwhelming stage presence; but he was the BEST part of the Stones at their peak

  • June 25, 1972, Hofheinz Pavilion, University of Houston, 4 pm show, my first concert. Since I had bee a fan since 1964 (at age 9), this show definitely changed my life.

  • oh children bless us!

  • Stones at their BEST!!!

  • What's with the Stones and always playing their OWN songs off key?

  • Damn I wish I coulda been at this concert!!!!

  • AWESOME !!

  • the stones live version of all down the line during 72-73 is the best live performance ever...

  • Is Bill Wyman the coolest base player ever or what?

  • Comment removed

  • @lyonese1 Bass.

  • Hehe 93MrAcdc i love your passion for Mick T, he is the man, what a player!!! but Ronnie is so good as well, he is a pure weaver, Mick T is a solo guitarist :-) both brought so much to the Stones. Mick T is awesome on Exile on Main St !!!

  • @llanelli3 the Taylor line-up was the best, but then again at that time Mick and Keith were at their peak so theoretically any quality guitar would have worked. I know at some point Jeff Beck had been given the offer to join. I don't recall if it was after Jones or Taylor.

  • Bill and Charlie are the sound. Nobody notices..but they are the sound.

  • Perfect tempo. Bill and Charlie steal the show!

  • @stevenjromero Keef sets the tempo at the start

  • Taylor is a God!!

  • MT's solo is amazing!!

  • ron wood should sit down and take some fucking lessons off mick taylor!

  • Mick Taylor - one and only!

  • Open up and swallow yeah!!

  • The Exile on Main Street tour was my first concert. I was 14 and boy it changed my life! After that, I was hell bent on learning how to play guitar. The Stones were a big influence on me and my friends guitar playing. Great, great band!!

  • This was once The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World...

  • @TracyFClark

and still are the greatest rock & roll band in the world.

  • MICK TAYLOR DOES ROCK IN THIS VIDEO...DAMN WHERE WAS i IN 72? i LIVE IN HOUSTON AND i HAVE SEEN THE STONES 5 TIMES HERE....HOFHEINZ PAVILION IS SO GOOD:)

  • and beautiful sounds just rolled out of Mick Taylors guitar....chills!

  • Outtake from Ladies & Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones. Hofheinz Pavilion, University of Houston, 6/25/1972, 4 pm show. My first concert.
