I say, that you can't call yourself Metal just because you listen to the genre, you have to contribute to the scene. Example: Creating a band. However, using heavy guitar tunes doesn't make you a metal band accepted in the community, therefore not metal.

The older records of SS are clearly Melodic Death Metal, but they discreditted themselves with their newer changes and behavior.
