Instead of pink clay on the top of the cake you could bake it first then get scribbles 3D paint and do the line and then draw it across, then it could have a better effect. Just a tip :D

Whenever I cut the cake, it like drags the color down onto on another. Like the tan layer gets dragged into the pink and then the pink gets dragged onto the bottom tan. If that makes sense o.o

@MeRDeR4EvEr1 for the cutting of the cake, if the layer colors smudge, you can put it in the freezer for about a min. or so (this kind of problem happens a lot with polymer clay). since you are a beginner at this, the polymer clay i recommend is sculpey clay (you get the baking time on the wrapper) i hope you have fun with clay, because there are endless possibilities of what you can make^_^

Wow, your clay is so shiny. What kind of clay do you use? I got Fimo, and it looses it´s shine after a while of forming, a lot of my fingerprints are seen and it sucks... It sticks to the table and the roller pin - is it too soft or am i forming it too long?
