oh please it's the Pecking Order pure and simple, he's the new kid and has to find his place in the herd, Gelding or not! i saw this all time with my horses.

Lol! He was a 13 year old gelding named "Smokey." The way we ended up with him was because we bought a horse trailer, and the person we bought it from insisted on giving him to us.. We didn't need another horse so we put him up for adoption. He was so flashy that everyone who saw him wanted him. Tons of people wanted him and he had no trouble finding a perfect forever home. :)
O_O why didn't you stop them? They need to know that fighting each other isn't good. Always ALWAYS! keep them seperate for about a week. Or at least pop the one who starts it with a whip or lead rope to tell them that's a no no! beautiful horses though =3
Im looking at selling Nasdaq, Teddy, and maybe Shorty. If you know somebody that might be interested in buying, do you know them well enough to be certain that they take good care of their animals?
Yes i know her very well she is a good friend of mine and would take excellent care of a horse. How old is Nasdaq and teddy? and how much are you looking to sell each for?
I guess it would be smart to figure out what part of the country your friend is located in? I'm in Northern Calif. Hopefully we're not on different ends of the country. :P Nasdaq is 2 1/2 yrs. Teddy is 8 yrs. I'm asking $1700 for Nasdaq & $1000 for Teddy.

I wish you would take him off my hands! I was afraid Shorty would get his head kicked in! Dummy kept turning around and putting his face in the line of fire! I can't believe he won the fight after the way Smokey kicked the tar out of him.
If Smokey can launch his front end up as high as he kicks in the rear - Yeah, I'd say he could probably jump! lmao!

That's not a bad idea, the problem is that the ground is frozen solid here this time of year, so riding is kind of limited to walking and trotting at most. I wouldn't want to try jumping on frozen ground. lol. I hope I can get rid of him ASAP so that I can focus all of my attention on the horse that I'm going to ride in Tevis. 2009 is the year I'm going to go for it. I have got to sell half of my herd so I can afford to enter!

Wow, that's way too far! lol! Yes Nasdaq is my baby & I love her to pieces. But I had so much fun raising her that I would kind of like to get another baby to raise. They are so adorable when they do all the goofy things that babies do! lol :D
And i definitely can relate to you wanting a baby.I currently have one baby in our herd of horses and he is the most adorable colt ever! and does well with our other horses in the herd. Babies are so cute mines name is Lucky and he already has decided what he wants to do once he is broke...barrel race! haha i already have one of our horses as my barrel horse but Lucky just LOVES the barrels! he loves to knock them down and bite them and roll it around:P

I have a Stud and he is just so funny! He loves to show off and scare you half to death.
He reared up twice right behind me and bucks all the time.. He is just so full of life and thinks hes the center of attention. :)
