  • Peter Beckett had an awesome mullet in this video.

  • Peter looks and sounds great in this

  • This was the music Marge Simpson listened to while on hold when she called the missing children hotline when Maggie Simpson wandered away from thier home. Priceless of what?

  • Kids today are so unfortunate, and they don't even know it! Rap isn't music, it isn't singing... it's speaking in rhythm, which any 5th grader can do. THIS takes talent.

  • this song makes me shiver...so great

  • This is real musical talent!! Can't compare this live performance to many from these days. 10/10

  • 1977 I was 11.

  • Trying to forget you is just a waste on me.....

  • i swear i thought i was about to get rick rolled lol

  • LOVE IT...

  • I wish they didnt sell out to SWIFFER or whatever that co. is, now I think of a MOP when I hear this. Such a great song .oh well !!!

  • WOW! I was just surfing through LRB videos and reliving childhood memories and thinking to myself "what other band does LRB remind me of from that time?" Here it is! Two incredible bands. Thank you soooo much for this post!

  • You're welcome ;)

  • Wheres Ridge??

  • I don't care. Peter is the sound of Player and not some Ken doll from a soap opera.

  • Just having a laugh. I love this song too. But im trying to decide if I have a man crush on Ron/Ridge.....lol

  • It's ok, but I am tired to see Peter getting on the background while he's the writer/performer and Ronn, the bassplayer, is being mister pretty boy.

  • 80s cheese gets better as it ages

  • that comment made me chuckle out loud...I had just been grabbing old love songs from the 80's and then found this on Youtube ... how true too!

  • vuelve..no puedo vivir sin ti...

  • Yeah I agree Little River Band did a Good Job on this song with Peter Beckett from Player.

Plus Just Love this Song when I miss the Damn Chick:( Ah the Missed Opportunities. :)

  • well covered

  • the little river band i know includes birtles, shorrock, gobles.

  • Still wonder who has told me "Baby come back" through others...Why stop now???

  • It was 1995 and it was taken from Ohne Filter, a German show. Unfortunately the show is cancelled after some years of good music.

  • Is that Lewis Sculnik playing keys ?

    Revenge of the Nerds.

    Seriously.

  • hopin theyd come back.

  • I'e seen the keyboard player on Full House as one of the Rippers.

  • No Birtles Shorrock and Goble :(

  • TO JONANDKERI: this is player by the way. the lead singer anyways.awesome huh!!! i just found out myself and i am a die hard fan of the little river band. cheers!

  • Wow- almost as good as Player. No clue as to who is in that band.

  • It should be almost as good as Player since the lead singer of Player is Peter Beckett who is also the guy singing in this video.

  • man for a live song it's pretty amzing

  • at exactly 2:37 he sings HELLA offkey

  • Your hearingdevice needs a new battery.

  • quarter tone sharp. Nothing to mention. Great tune.

  • great song!!!! if your a swiffer

  • thats what made me like it the swiffer commercial

  • My son thinks that that commercial is all there is to the song..he has so got to hear all of it. ;)

  • check for peter beckett's side project called Think Out Loud back in late 80's

  • Shorrock and pellicci were in LRB at this point -- Beckett replaced Goble in the touring band.

  • Yeah, can't agree more.

You could add Wayne (the whizz) Nelson - the bass player, been with LRB since Night Owls, that's some history.

    He's still there.

but the Birtles, Shorrock, Goble mix is unbeatable.

The Eagles referred to THAT LRB as the "singinest band in the world" - or words to that effect.

  • I really like this version. It's different, but good.

  • very good drummer!!!

  • wow, memories of REAL MUSIC.

  • Peter Beckett was the lead singer for Player.

  • Player's version is definitely better, its the original

  • Nice 80s song. Other times..

  • thanks for the upload. I have been looking for this song for ages and finally found it. it's one of my fav..brings back lots of old memories..

  • great song, a classic, baby come back,it is such a powerful song it still touches young and old people.

  • I really like this song..the first time i heard it was in the movie,'Transformers'.

    : )

  • The time pass for all, but the song is for ever. We don't forget the good times.

  • Peter Beckett sounds like Daryl Hall here...

  • I really like this version

  • Damn...instant flashback of good times in the 80's!

  • You mean, instant flashback of good times in the 70's?

    This song was made 1977.

  • True but I discovered it in college in the 80's.

  • EXCELLENT ..ABSOLUTE CLASSIC SONG....class and it's good for a live performance ..no matter what some ill informed people think.

  • Fabulous!

  • Nice to see Mr. Beckett ;) great song, and a great performance.

  • transformer hehehehe

  • PETER BECKETT ROCKS!!! p651s-what do you do for a living that you are so bitter to other people's talent? This live version of BCB is AMAZING!!!!!

    PB's WEBMISTRESS

  • p651s-

Maybe so, but why don't you post a vid so we can be the judge??? Put your $ where your mouth is...just a thought....

  • damn,,, your right

  • no, not out of my mind. they suck, now don't get me wrong i like LRB but this sounds like shit. i could sing better than this sounds.

the back-up vocals are way off and not on time. listen to the original by player.......

  • let p ditty or smash mouth try and play and sing this stuff. hell, matter of fact, let any of todays band try it. They would fail.

  • boy they sound like shit....

  • your out of your mind!

  • Barry Taylor on lead vocals.

  • Who????

  • A great many "Ohne Filter" shows have been released on DVD in Germany, I wonder why not tihs one, I hope this will too one day. Great, great gig, band in top form.

  • Memories. Love the song!

  • its faster than the original.. but haha still good..

  • He sounds (sings) alot like Billy Joel. Great band.

  • This was about 1991/1992. Recorded off of German TV. Ohne Filter w/ Frank Laufenberg.

I've got it on PAL VHS.

  • This really sounds great. About what year was this performance?

  • it's great to see this song in one part of the movie Transformers

  • babyyy come backkkk =]

  • love this song

  • What a great video, thanks for posting it. Peter's great, what a pretty song.

  • megan FOX! wowee! transformers cool movie

  • Being a black man, I have to say I love Soft Rock. Pure music! I love it!

  • Great song ,great show

i have a video/DVD with the whole concert;-)

  • So do I... ;)

  • i get it but explain

  • the love of my life rocks so massively hard, just like lrb :)

  • explain ? lrb

  • this song gaves me back the love of my life

    tnx player jejejejejje

and i know that this are lrb

  • Where is the full ,live version? >_<

  • This is the full version. If you mean the whole concert, I have it, but won't post it.

  • One thing Peter Beckett fans don't realize is that he was on the short list to become the fourth Badfinger after "Come and Get It" was recorded. Joey Molland got the gig instead - but gosh, thinking without Peter Ham, Tommy, and Mike RIP - wouldn't a Beckett-Molland Badfinger sound great?

  • one of the best live tv programs they were able to have the most famous and best muscisians of the world live on stage.

  • I could listen to these guys all day

  • great version, both old and new!

  • This LRB was broadcasted a while ago on the German TV, the show called Ohne Filter Extra, some concerts they've released it on DVD, but never had the intention to do that with this concert. The concert takes appr. 1 hour.

  • That's Tony Sciuto on keyboards and backing vocals.

I swear he's the best musician I've ever known. That guy can play, sing, and write with the best of 'em. If you're ever in Baltimore and he's playing somewhere in town you've GOT to check him out! HE'S AWESOME!

  • TONY IS AWESOME! We email each other all the time. Great guy!

This concer tis the best! Thanks Lukaz, my dear friend

  • good version....makes me feel old and young at the same time...
