Excellent video!! I totally loved it, I grew up in Monterrey, but I never been to playa. I now live in NYC and I will be going to playa in 3 weeks, I will definitely visit many of the places I saw in the video!

very nice, you should be make other shows about diferent regiones of México, México have a colonial cities like Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Mérida, etc., modern cities, culture, beaches in the pacific, traditions. The bad press produce dangers in the touristic industry.

If I am being honest, the Taxi Cab confessions campaign is not my favorite. We are involved with another campaign that involves interviews with American and Canadians living/working/retiring all over Mexico. I'll make sure you see it when it comes out. It's more in line with what you guys are doing. Fingers crossed I don't look like an idiot in my segment! LOL
Just watched this again and forwarded the link to the PR company in NYC that is heading up a huge campaign for the Mexico Dept. of Tourism. I did an interview with them last week and I think they would love to see this. There may be an opportunity for you all to work together!
@BuyPlaya Thanks Rob! I think everyone locally will benefit if we could get the funding to film more shows. People are very visual and need to see quality product....to me it's a no brainer. I mean $30 million USD is being spent on a taxi cab confessions type of campaign which is in my opinion not the best way to convince people to come down. People may not trust these "edited" taxi cab videos vs a crazy guy from Montreal who's not afraid to call it how he see's it :)
This video is epic. Especially the begining. You have really inspired a lot of people, I believe. I fell in love with Playa last week. It is on my list to return to. Hopefully, I can live there part- time. I would like to know what Steph does in Playa, careerwise? Because maybe I can get some ideas..
Thanks for the positive thoughts on Playa and the Yucatan in general! This will be our 5th trip in 5 years and we have never felt that we were in slightest bit of danger down there!! We rent a vehicle and drive through the jungle to Merida and Progresso which are just as safe as Playa!! I hope this does convince people that the people of the Yucatan deserve to be recognized as friendly and non-threatening!! Thanks again for the positive thoughts!!
@barbcroft59 I think anyone who's been down there will agree with you, it's not as bad as it seems. I was hoping to film many more of these shows with the $ help of the tourism board because people need to see Mexico from "our perspective". Glad you liked it!
Wow, absolutely insane video!!!! I first heard about Playa a couple weeks ago via some travel blog, talking about the different things to do.. Living in FL, flights are only $280ish. I found a very nice looking hostel named "Hostel 3B" for a very fair rate. Now I'm just stuck on how long to visit. There are so many amazing, beautiful things to see/do/experience there, but I think 2 weeks in early October should do me well. Thanks for such a well done video!

Tulum is my second home. I stayed at Playa Azul last year. Good choice. I wish you guys had tried it on Sunday as there are many great beach barbeques.
@Number1StarsFan I normally head down to Tulum on Sundays so Leah can run around. You're right in that Sundays are fun days to be there. Such a nice area!
FANTASTIC Video! The video quality and content is totally worthy of Playa Del Carmen. We are going for our 4th trip to the area in just 5 wks. I've watched your video in parts at least 4 times...and forwarded to our parents so they wouldn't worry about us in Mexico :) One of the greatest things about the video is the personalities of Jazz and Steph...you both are so LIKABLE. Fantastic video! I've watched it twice. We love Playa del Carmen and have visited every year (sometimes 2 or 3 times in a year) since 2006. We'll be down in the area again in May. La Cueva del Chango is one of our favorite eats and we love Akumal y Tulum. Such great, chill places.
Thanks for taking the initiative and helping to fight off the bad rap that Mexico has. Looking forward to more documentaries from you guys!

Fantastic video! We just got back 3 days ago and miss Playa very much already. It was our third time and we started to do a lot less touristy things. I wish we would have seen this video before we left. Thank you for your time and effort. Its great to see a project like this to push back all the negative talk about Mexico.

Bravo! really well done! I have lived in Playa with my husband and kids for almost 7 years. You have done an excellent job representing the area and the city of Playa del Carmen. We have been doing our best as business owners to dispel the bad press propagated by the mainstream media in the US and Canada. It is a daily battle but films like this go a long way to showing people what life is really like here. Thanks for taking the time to do this.I'll look out for Stef in town.
