  • Very Nice. I used to play this too. The PolyMoog sound is very difficult to replicate and was used heavily on this LP, and especially this track.

  • @Haroldesp Thank you... I have been able to tweak the sounds since I recorded this. The CS80 sound (arpeggiayed lead I can replicate using the string2+string4 preset plus reberb and delay.) the solo lead an Arturia minimoog preset caleed Darksolo1. I also have a vst that can play polymoog strings very accurately. So little by little i ve been able to improve on this sound. All and all its probably my fav recording of all time..

  • Wow i have no words for this ... except that is the same as the original piano player. GREAT.

  • Freakin Awesome I wish I could play like that

  • awesome thanks

  • Nice!

  • Would you like to start a Saga tribute band ? I`ll play bass ! good job !

  • @horsetype I would, I have found around a drummer, but not a singer and guitarist. If we do I'm game. Btw you have to play the multimoog since you are the bassist. Just kidding... I'll play it... Lol

  • Fantastic performance, but doesn't the first "grace" note of the phrase that begins at around 01:45 begin on "D?" (Not "F?")

    I could be wrong....

Nonetheless, a great performance! Well done!

  • @rollomaughfling If you are refering to the minimoog bass note, you are correct...Thank you

  • Bravo! it's great:) is that you could send me the tab or give me a link stp ;)

  • @kazuhiko78 Thank you. It's all by ear. I have never seen any music sheet out there..

  • Great job!

  • Wow man You are Awesome at playing SAGA :D

i Wish i could play with you

    i also play saga :D i play guitar :D

  • @gorillazmaster Yes, no shit I would love too. Maybe virtually? I just did Take it or Leave It. I'm doing Images after that. I know a guy who likes to play Saga Drums. So that's it I could double keyboards and (synth)bass.

  • Thank you Milchmang. Don't Be Late is one of my favorite songs ever. If you find a part that's confusing of you can't see, let me know... P

  • Peter, after all these jears I start playing one of my favorite Songs on Piano.

Well, Thank you so much for uploading this! Idit you realize your the only one worldwide. I use it as a Piana Tutorial cause I cant find any sheet Music in the world wide web. Thanks for making my life a bit more complete.

    Mischa Mang

  • Peter, you have inspired me to pick up my bass and start playing this song. Working by ear can be a challange at times, but with the right hand screen showing the bass line on keyboards, I'm trying to figure out the keys your hitting and learn the song this way.

Once again, I'm just blown away with the talent.

Thanks for posting all the Saga videos you have done.

Jim Gilmour would be very proud of your playing.

  • @constantine2112 That's awesome! If this video inspired you then I'm really proud. I always thought it was cool how the basist in Saga would play the Moog and the bass guitar. Haven't seen many bass guitar players that do that and I think it's a tremendous asset. BTW Michael Jackson's basist in This Is It did that too.

That's really cool you liked it and have fun with the song..

  • Peter, I'm just blown away and I have tears in my eyes. I've been a Huge Sage fan since around 1981. I've lost count to how many times I've been blessed to see them live.

I thought I would take a look at your video thinking this will be a waste of time. I could not believe the talent. I was glued to watching your left hand bass playing. It was beyond words. The solo has left me with the tears in my eyes.

I can't wait to check out your other videos.

    Thanks for sharing

    Constantine

  • Wow. Thank you! Obviously I'm also a fan. Saga was my first concert and I still remember it. Don't be late is one of my favorite songs. Also Time to Go. I'm doing Its Time next. I'm glad you liked it.

  • A+ Great Super buen trabajo

  • Jaja gracias!

  • good imitation..........

  • well sir...I had to restore my computer because of you tube...I thought I had an error which was not allowing youtube to plaly...now not only does it buffer...but...I get no sound....this so sux....I am sure your work sounds lovely but I am off to get more aggravated than what I already am trying to fix this problem....::cries:::

  • It sounds like you have a corrupted player and or trojan/virus.

  • well if I had a trojan/virus it would have been indicated....a corrupt player eh?...Well it does affect all the players...What? I have to buy a new puter now?????

  • wow what a cool song, this song sounded like Jon Anderson of Yes! keep up the cool song writing you are great.

I would love to remix this song for ya on my pro equipment. Send me an email please....marty

  • Thank you. However, the song is Saga's Dont Be Late from the album Silent Night. They used cs80, ppg waldorf, minimoog, memory moog, polymoog in the recording. I was trying to recreate the song in a live format to show the capability or the modern technology to create that kind of analog sound. Saga's first 5 albums are just awesome. check them out in wikipedia...

    Take care
