This is such an epic easy way of cutting a pineapple! I too watched vids and when through that trimming around the pineapple route. Thank you for showing this way. It's much better!

Hmm:

1. I'm all up for hand gestures when speaking (I do that a lot) but you were swinging your hand-wielding knife a bit too much. Best be careful.

2. It would've been nice if you started out with how to pick a pineapple (yeah yeah I know, this is how to CUT, but it still would've been helpful--other videos touched on that)

3. The tone you used when you were describing another Youtuber's video on how to cut was a bit harsh. Everyone has their own technique.

This is just about how Dole teaches how to cut them at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. The only difference is the lady cut off a lot less when she cut the core off and she used a curved knife to cut the meat from the skin which wastes a little less meat. Nice video.

Wow, that you so much! I have tried cutting pineapples many different ways and your way is the best so far. Its easy and fast! One tip I might add: Since the pineapple is sitting up all the sugars and juice tend to settle at the bottom. If you leave the pineapple in the fridge for about 30 mins. upside down before cutting, the juices will give the entire pineapple the maximum flavor possible =)
