There are SO many solutions to the problem:

Lizzie can sleep with Marty on one bed, the parents on the other and Edwin on the floor.

They can push the bed all the way to the wall so that Marty can't fall off.

Or, they can make a "house" with the blankets so that its fun for the kids (and comfortable) and the parents can actually sleep.

That sounds fun... :) and those are really good pranks. (awwww an empty fridge would make me heartbroken!!)
