@KhasiMizo8 The new boats are more forgiving. Todd got surfed in a hole in the class three section that I just plowed right through. The new boats are slightly faster and a more snug fit.
btw, and reason for having the backpack on your back instead of strapping it to the front at the beginning? I imagine that could get tricky if one capsizes. Also doesn't look to comfy ;)
@Habichtshorst We wore our packs for class I and two between the rapids because we didn't want to take the time to put our packs on the front of our boats for such short sections. We discussed our comfort levels getting out of the backpack if we had swam. I would not recommend this as a normal practice as it could be quite dangerous, however we felt comfortable doing this and it helped us move quickly.
