Do you think this will be good enough to sew through felt? I've been interesting in making felt dolls and want a sewing machine I can take with me to places. Thanks! :)
@Mudpuppyy I did a review on using this on felt, it works just fine! I don't know if it will keep your doll stitched together, though! You might want to get the Singer Pixie, it's a real sewing machine and it's small and inexpensive.
thanks for the review but I which you would have shown how to change the thread...I just got one and can't get it to work now that I've changed thread color...two friends tried and can't get it to work either, so just might have to return it and pay for a professional, which I'm not.
@darkzq I do have a video showing how to change it out, just do a search for Singer Stitch Sew Quick, and I think it's under the "felt experiment" video. I hope that helps.
why is it so hard to thread. No matter what I try it wont rethread for me. As I'm sure it is meant to be done as it eventually runs out . It just seems like too much trouble to use if trying to save time and have it handy wherever I am.
Hi, love your clip! Question I am waiting for my White sewing machine to be returned, so in the meantime, would this be suitable for simple doll dresses? TY in advance!
Hi, im starting a clothing company and struggling to find cheap companys to sew in my neck labels. would this machine be good for this to do it myself? (i have no sewing experience)
@DanReborn If you're starting a clothing company, why don't you have a real sewing machine, or at least access to one? Clothes-making kinda implies sewing...(Or are you a knitter/crocheter?)
hi iam 12 and hand sew pillows and stuff and i was woundering if this would be good for making clothing or pillows cause it takes for ever to hand sew a pillow
@fatcat239 Hi, you know, if you want to make something that will last you'll want to use a different machine. I would suggest the Singer Pixie machine to start with. It's around $40, and is a "real" sewing machine!! Thanks for asking!
hi, I got mine recently, it did not stitch, the needle goes up and down, it releases thread while moving, but no stitches. I've adjusted the tension both sides, placed my needle correctly but nothing works. what else might be the problem? any suggestion would help me a lot. thank you
Might pick it up..Only really interested in making simple pillows right now so it might work for the use im using it for..By the way love your polish where did u get it!!
@LaDyCrYsS90 That should work, just be careful not to pull out your stitches. Remember to tie them off, the little pamphlet that comes with it will tell you about that! This was so long ago, but I think I used "In my back pocket" by OPI.
@vianneylu1 hi there! :) i just wanted to know if you can sew stretch fabrics and if it does, does the stitches make the fabric less stretch? coz when i use my machine on jersey tops, the stitches tend to hold the fabric from stretching. Thanks for your help. Great video!!
@nhiluu97 This little thing is $13 at walmart and higher other places. You can sew fabric, but if it will be your first machine I think it might be difficult to learn in. The pixie by singer is $40 and it's a real sewing machine. It's small and purple, and an excellent machine at that price, maybe you can save up a little longer for it.
How do u finish off the sew? Like how do u knot it at the end so it won't come out because I cannot understand instructions that came with it. Plz and thank u
@yazzypants16 It's not too difficult, but you have to be careful not to pull before you tie them off. I have a video response tied to this video on how to tie off and change out the thread. That might be better to watch. Thanks!
For some reason when I sew, it's not stitching where the thread stays. You sew and then pull on the thread and it comes right off the fabric. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you Vianney!
@MsMaryee It sounds like your thread isn't coming out on the under side, if it were the thread wouldn't just pull out. Let me look at mine more closely later today and maybe I can answer your question with a video or something!
@vianneylu1 Thank you!!! I eagerly await your video response. I'm a teacher and want to do some "mending" before school starts and if I can use it well, I'd like to use it with my students for projects.
you crack me UP... the way you talk, you're just so... YOU! I love it... same ol' Vianney. :D I can't explain it, but it makes me smile! It makes me happy. :)
I'm still waiting for some like... beginner sewing tutorials, I need to figure my machine out. Maybe you can help me get acquainted with it. I'm scared of it. :D
@sumthinsnazzi78 Thanks, Christine! I love chatting up my viewers who I never get to see!!! Anyway, I would love to come out and craft with you. I loooove sewing. Like I said, I'll be staying out your way from June 27-the July 4th weekend, I think. Let me know on facebook if we can get together then!

Would this be consider good for making clothes from light or heavy fabrics?
pyronable 1 month ago
@pyronable I think it's for emergencies only, like sewing a quick hem. Not so much for actual clothes construction.
vianneylu1 1 month ago
@pyronable light only fabrics, i just started sewing and i broke the needle trying to sew 2 pieces of fleece. i made a jacket for my dog.

@silkyorganza I like this for my scrapbooking and cardmaking. I don't think the stitch would be very durable. I hope that helps!! (:

Is this good to sew items? like pouches and maybe clothing?
Im 13 and i enjoy many things including sewing. But i dont have enough money to buy a sewing machine but enough to buy the handheld sewing machine.

@PolymerPendants I haven't tried that, but I don't see why not. It's supposed to be used on fabrics, maybe the lighter weight felt would be best.
