Search: "Finished Garage With MaxJax 2 Post Lift" for a guided tour of a remodeled garage interior, plenty of ideas you might like, storage, workbench, heating, floors and more!
I build something similar, but not just for my mitre saw, but for my router, sander, jigsaw and table saw. They all have a removeable section that is cut at whatever size that would make the surface flush with the rest of the bench. I can store these modules either under the benchtop or on shelves of my garage when not being used. I did this because I don't have a lot of shop space and this allows me to use all my stationary tools with a full table top.
Pieces that you mentioned all have very different characteristics, functions, ways to operate and requirements to work... a really big and complicated table I assume. You might want to put it out to the market to benefit more people in need, or sell the plan perhaps?
Just curious, why putting hand operate tools like sander and jigsaw to a table?
Wow, I think you just sold me! I will have to build this thing. I like it because it's on casters, has lots of storage for off-cuts (which you can never get enough of) and I can take it from place to place if I ever need to. Something like that should last anyone a long time.
need to know how you mounted your fence to cabinet. need spec's
