  • Amazing Parrot at Wonderful place i.e. Amazon Forest. I love to tame different types of colourful Parrots but i just have Australian parrots and Fishers now.

  • I've been trying to find a documentary on Macaws.. Does anyone know of one that I can watch or buy..? Thanks heaps..

    James

  • I wanna be a macaw -__-

  • well, beauty the deadlier.... using clay to sharper their beaks...

  • They are so gorgeous when they spread their wings and soar through the air...

  • GOD!!! my blue throated macaw was pecking the screen!!! oh no bad macaw

  • WOW!!! million of dollar trowing a net there!!!

  • I have a blue and gold macaw named tara. she is soo sweet

  • Wow! I love macaws, and I know it not a happy life for them in a cage, but I think if a animal is tamed and doesn't know how to live in the wild just give the best life it can by being it's friend :)

  • Heartache seeing them in the wild, thinking that those birds probably don't know how lucky they are, not being born in captivity.

(BTW, there are not only Blue and gold and Scarlet macaws, those with red facial stripes and red-green-teal wings are Greenwing macaws. And then there are Blue-headed pionus and Yellow-crowned amazons in there too.)

  • That looks like a chanle on tv. Is it a chanle?

  • wooooooooooww stunning beauty !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could watch videos of animals all day they're just amazing

  • very interesting how they wisely keep one on the lookout. Birds eating clay...not something we see every day.

  • i love these birds cuz they can sense whenever some1 is upset or happy and they feel love :)

  • @MultiDantan ...cool, hadn't heard of that before. They are beautiful birds, that's for certain!

  • @DulceRainbow I found this info: the Ornate Hawk-Eagle, the Black&white Hawk-Eagle, and the Harpy eagle. A friend has seen one of the Harpy eagles in the Belize Zoo. He said it is gigantic.

  • FiestyCat86... those are all different flocks that visit the same clay cliff. Unlike humans, they can get along when they all have the same needs. There were Blue & Gold Macaws, Scarlett Macaws, GreenWing Macaws (which are a read & blue bird with a bit of green on the wings), some species of Amazon parrot and I don't recognize the blue headed-green parrot.

  • @mainemavin it is a Blue-Headed Pionus parrot.

  • Lovely video images , I like it so much ;-) Thanks for sharing ;-)

  • why are some blue, some green and some red, all in the same flock?

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO !!!

  • Glorious is God

  • Superbes ces oiseaux, ce sont des Aras aux très belles couleurs. Merci pour le partage de cette très intéressante vidéo.

  • hay macaw can i get a fruit loop LOL

  • @meeptron1 are you referring to a toucan?

  • @blc6363 a little of both

  • It is crazy to see those colorful birds with their gestures we compare to ourself. Funny!

  • That last 20 secs of this video, seeing these beautiful birds fly free and wild, though my heart time and time again. I think that is how it should have been...

  • 1:26 "Lol, I got it! :D"

  • After seeing these beautiful wild parrots, it makes me sad to see the plucked, ragged-winged ones owned by people who don't know how to properly care for them. But perhaps nothing compares to flying free in that spacious jungle...

  • @DulceRainbow i wanted to know too. it must of been big though cus theyre big

  • Now I feel bad for caging such a free bird...

  • oh my god. i work in a pet shop that specializes in parrots, and we have a scarlet and a greenwing there now. but we have also had blue and golds. and seeing the wild macaw is breathe taking. i dont know why anyone would steal one of these beautiful creatures from the wild. every bird i have worked with has ben a captive born.

  • @jmptherooster People that live in the countries where these birds come from, are VERY poor. There is little work. The money gained by selling a wildcaught parrot can take care of their family for a year. Unfortunately, they don't realize how many never live thru the trip to a potential buyer in another country.

  • Macaws! <33 I love blue and golds, hyacinths, green wings, and scarlets the most! ;)

  • Beautiful Colours on the birds

  • 5 people who disliked this love clay

  • my dad got me 2 wild blue baby macaws in the wild when I was little from Trinidad. Best pet's ever..

  • NOM NOM CLAAAY

  • It would be so wonderful to be able to go there and see them in the wild in huge numbers like that.

  • @RainbowSmite525 I could not agree more ;D amagine to be the fotograph in these animal wildlife program

  • Birds Are beautiful but Noisy and Dirty.

  • ¿dónde es esto ? ¿Candamo?

  • @1986karlos TAMBOPATA PERU

  • i like the green oneeeeeeeeeeee

  • They look so beautiful flying freely in the wild.

You need to be very selfish to clip their wings and put them in a cage for the rest of their lives.

Just to entertain your sorry soul ?? How about I chop off your legs and cage you ??

But no thanks !! Who wants to see your ugly human face ??

    ____

  • Nice video :)

  • they make the clay look tasty.

  • what an outstanding video!!!

  • Beautys incarnation.

  • yummy, i wish i could afford one

  • No - you really dont!!

They are like children - and they live for about 50 years!! If you leave them for a few days (vacation - you MUST take them with you) they will start pulling their feathers out!!!

I had an ex-girlfriend that had one (hand fed from birth) and he would scream every night. He also got very angry when I came over - he normally walked around her apt - but when I came over - in the cage!!!

They are good pets - if you are completely devoted to them - for a lifetime!!!

  • @Earthlinked good way to put it. Mine are getting terribly selfish lol, I can't do anything without them it seems.

  • God i'd like to get a macaw.

  • @zuja59 No - you really w9uld NOT!!

They are like spoiled small children - and they live for about 50 years!! If you leave them for a few days (vacation - you MUST take them with you) they will start pulling their feathers out!!!

I had an ex-girlfriend that had one and he would scream every night. He also got very angry when I came over - when I came over - he had to go in the cage!!!

They are good pets - if you are completely devoted to them - and NOTHING else - for a lifetime!!!

  • WOW! Just amazing to see them in a group like that! beautiful!

  • my bird is in my will with a hefty settlement on it,

  • Depends on how you look at it. Humans greed will end the making it worthless after all, when its milked to death. Stick your $ value up your arse.

  • Um, not really. I take it you're from Britain or somewhere like that? The importation of amazon birds was made illegal several years ago. You can only breed them in the US. This pretty much tripled the birds value. Btw, nice insult. Love you too.

  • Very nice

  • These birds are beautiful....

  • People who own these birds as pets are irresponsible. Some of them live to be 100. What's going to happen to them when you die? Euthanasia, if they're lucky?

  • People who have kids are irresponsible. Some of them live to be 100. What's going to happen to them when you die? Euthanasia, if they're lucky?

Stop being a dick, they can easily give their bird to a relative or to a caring stranger. And they usually don't live more than 60 years. Stop spouting your bullshit.

  • MACAW?? THESE BIRDS ARE GUACAMAYAS

  • They are Macaw

  • well maybe in english or svenka you guys call da bird, kauze in America are called GUACAMAYA or PAPAGALLOS Grrretings

  • I don't know but in search its same findings

  • @bismilaji09 Yes Macaw dipshit.

  • how do you get filming these bird.. i love this video!

  • bbc fail... there are more green wings than scarletts

  • I noticed that too! I have a beautiful Green Wing named Loki.

  • Im going to see my hand reared GW on saturday, it should be ready to come home in a couple of weeks YAY cant wait

  • Oh, that's so exciting. Mine was hand reared too and we had him from an egg. I learned how to feed him, etc - would go three times a week. He is ten now. They need a lot of care but so so worth it. Good Luck!

  • mine has stopped eating and is demanding baby food again, slow progression but went to see him/her last week, greenwings and there weening, not fun or by the book lol

  • Our breeder was not impressive. I took Loki home before he was fully weaned, and I fed him mushed up bird pellots with a spoon, and sat with him in the rocking chair. He couldn't even perch yet.

  • Breeders are not supposed to let them go before they are weaned. Also, they advertised hand fed babies, but they were not hand fed at all! They fed them through a surenge - not exactly nice for bonding. Why has your stopped eating? Maybe he is too young to eat full bird pellots? We feed ours Tropican, and augment with nuts, fruit, etc. Well good luck. They are so lovely and sweet when they are babies.

  • Orange is probably charging those Macaw birds £5000 a month data charges.

  • lookit them! so colorful, so beautiful.

  • eats clay? thats sooo cool

  • Comment removed

  • They're pining for the fjords :-D

  • Seeing them like this takes my breath away...

  • beautiful birds

  • Different species (races) of macaws gather at the clay licks much as humans gather at the supermarket and shopping mall. Nature "programs" them to select mates that look like their own parents so there's actually very little hybridizing among wild birds.

  • why clay and not fruit loops lol

  • @happylinkfan231 'Cause they ain't toucans!

  • @happylinkfan231 Bro I think your talking about Toucans (Toucan Sam) and it's Froot Loops, constructive criticism <3

  • @happylinkfan231 Duuuuude. only toucans eat fruit loops :D.

  • TUCAN SAM BITCH!!!!!!!

  • Can some Mccaw experts kindly advise me on the followings:

    (1) Is it common for mccaws of different breeds to co-habit together just like what were shown in this video? Red mccaws mingling with blue mccaws. I thought only birds of the same feather flock together?

    (2) Does mccaw of different breed cross breed with one another? If so, wonder how the final outcome will look like?

    Thank you.

  • In the case of a blue and gold/scarlets - you would get a Catalina Macaw and they are beautiful - google catalina macaw and yes they are considered hybrids.

  • Thank you.

  • They are so smart! i payed £1500 for my fully trained, tamed bird, i love my bird so much :) these are just a example on how smart these macaws are!

  • Yes, but people need to realize that they are wild animals, not pets, and that you are replacing the flock when you take one in. You have to consider ALL of their needs. "Be careful what you Tame".

  • Yes, my macaw flys outside, if he wanted to go he has the chance, he just flys back to me, i understand that the birds are better of outside, but if they are born in captivity or bird farms and raised their you cant just let them free, other birds will attack, such as pigeons and seagulls, ive seen it where i live.

  • lol you go there and pick them up and sell them

    youl get like 10000

  • no one is going to pay a lot for a macaw that is untrained and vicious.

  • You would take them out of their home? No, you wouldn't get $10000. They are fairly easy to breed, but die easily if not cared for properly. They are very gently and loving. But thee are laws about importation, as parrots are becoming endangered and some breeds are extinct in the wild.

  • i would pick them up and breed so many then i realease them in nature

  • they hav beautiful colors

  • I see Green wing macaws too Mr. BBC narrator.

  • Do they sell that red clay in petfood stores ? San Francisco ,California

  • Im sure the seeds they feed macaws arent poisonous

  • This video was shot in Claw Lick in the Manu National Park in Peru.

  • that was pretty cool

  • Smart birds ! They knew of "Activated Charcoal" and "pepto bismol" thousands of years before humans hehe :))))

smart and good looking! lol :) j/k cheers to all bird lovers!

  • nature is the most beautiful thing in the world

  • isn't world nature????

  • lol... ^O^

    well yeah...

life is beautiful, everything is beautyful! :)

  • even rotting half eaten hippo carcass?

  • sure, it all depends on how you look at it...

    :}

  • i had one like that :D

  • I have an Idea guys how about next time you go camping bring a camera so those kind of moment wont be lost~!

  • lol, that must've been one of those "i will never-ever forget" experiences XD It mustve been funny as hell ^^

  • I like your viewpoint. I respect why you are not a Christian. I'm a Christian because I've seen the good things that it has brought to my family. Especially my grandmother. My family isn't strictly Christian though. All I've been taught was that God loves me and I have literally felt that love, believe it or not. But even in my POV as a Christian I can say that you are 'living' and not just existing because you have the free will to believe what you want and live they way you want.

  • they're pretty intelligent arent they?

  • Indeed ^_^

  • GOD GOD GOD GOD!Fuck chill noob

  • God bless you sarah and God bless the people you love. i know you are a good person.

  • u said u dont believe in God. It is because you might have not opened your heart to the real things that the mere eyes can see. You asked me if it makes your life less fullfilling. Its not about fulfillment, but a life without God is just like EXISTING but not LIVING. Try to feel your heart and you will find the answer to your question.

  • stop saying about god here god there... this is about macaws not god if you like god till this kind of standard. go find a vid about god instead,,

  • God, theyr beautiful!

  • WOAH!!! Clay-NOM-NOM

  • And the macaws go OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

  • how beautiful GOD's creation is.... Glory to God in the highest.

  • How pathetic. Wat a sad and empty life you are living. i won't be surprise that one day you will pay for wat you said..... i hope you will bear and still stand if time will come that you will see and experience the day of your ending. You look so brave but really shivering inside. ahahahhha....

  • @debzcab I agree with JestersBakery, fuck your god.

  • LOVE those birds I had 14 @ one time

  • dayum!

  • didn't want dogs, cats or fish so i kept buying birds. they became addictive.

  • Hehe ONE would be enough to me.

  • Funny shit =======i dont like birds well i do lol.judt not pigins they bite and peck at me when i have food so i need 2 get a small bit of my food throw it and run ============I laughed my rectum off.

  • u should see the seagulls here. theres a beautiful walkway and some shops to eat at. i got a slice of pizza and sat outside. 1 bird sees me and calls.. then a massive group of them come over. sitting on the bench either side of me, u look left the one on the right comes closer, u look right the one on the left takes a few more steps.. ones at ur feet tipping their heads at u. they dont back down, just keep edging forward until u get so uneasy u give up some food or else they steal it. LoL

  • the clay looks tasty................ will go up next week to try eating some....... should be good for ones system

  • they're really beautiful...soooooooo beautiful but too noisy

  • I have an Amazon Parrot and an Umbrella, they love each other to death, they are god's gift to me.

  • i dont like birds well i do lol.judt not pigins they bite and peck at me when i have food so i need 2 get a small bit of my food throw it and run

  • lol

  • i hate big birds.

every where i go they seem to shit on me.

i suppose a pet one would be different.

    with the bond and all.

  • Haha. That was just a funny statement.

  • my uncle has one in my country they cost as much as a hamster cause we have too much lol one bit me IT HURTS!! don't touch them if you like all of you're fingers XD

  • wah wow tis nice..so peace

  • Wow amazing

  • ALWAYS check that the parrot you are about to buy is CAPTIVE BRED. wild parrot populations are being severely affected by the exotic pet market. Also half the birds don't even make it to the stores alive because of the stress and terrible cage conditions. I have and adore my own birds but they were all bred in captivity.

even better, go to a parrot rescue organization. You'd be shocked to find how abused and neglected birds are. give an abused bird a second chance at a good life.

  • wow ! this was such an amazing video , i thank all the people who made such a great attempt so that we could view the wonderful birds ! great work !!!!

  • they're so BEAUTIFUL>>>!

  • I have a Blue & gold macaw.She is so sweet.

  • i love blue and golds!

  • wow, i had no idea they were so beautiful in the wild! i actually just bought one but i dont get it til sunday, cant wait!

  • It is wonderful to see birds that are so colorful. Thanks!

  • Cómo harían los individuos que han sido criados en cautiverio?

  • wow, it's so cool that theyrecognise the clay's defencive properties.
