Thank god they dropped naruto and bleach. They made only low quality shitty releases. Any other fansub group who ever subbed naruto made better quality, and at least they not act so arrogant about their sh*t.

I don´t know if this would be possible but I´ll ask anyways. 1st of all I know fansubs are illegal but what if they formed a partnership with sites like crunchyroll?. that way their subbing would be legal and it would be much better than the subs they have at crunchyroll. the end result would be:

1. Legally subbed anime.

2. better translated episodes.

3. it would be in HD which everyone likes.

pretty good deal isn´t it? what do you guys think?

@swordsmanoftime3001 I have heard that some translators from dattebayo (and other groups) do work for "the industry" sometimes. But they are keeping it all very hush hush about waht it is they are translating. But you are right. I would also take the translation of a fansub group over the translation of the legal alternative.

Fortunately we have Taka Fansubs. they are the best alternative after Dattebayo quit Naruto. Unfortunately they announced that they wouldn´t take Bleach after Dattebayo stopped subbing it.

now its ths stupid subbing based on the dubbing and in big arial font, and spells names wrong, replaces "itadakimasu" with freakin "munch time", wtf no one in the real world says that!

dattebayo was the best of all of them. it would have notes explaining the culture behind the story, translations that would teach you japanese words that would help you understand and enjoy the anime better

Thanks for understanding, and you're right. Dattebayo fansubs has dropped Naruto Shippuden. Since acording to them there was going to be a legal stream on the site of the english liscensor.

At first I was kind of angry about that because I'm Dutch and I was under the impression that kind of service wasn't going to be available to people outside of the United States.

Eventually I found out that people outside the US can also watch Naruto shippuden on crunchyroll.

So in the end I'm happy

You are right. There is a subscription system for wich you have to pay, that enables you to watch all shows the moment they are released. You can watch them all for free but you will have to wait. I think it's a week or something.

(Klopt helemaal. Er is een abbenoment systeem waarvoor je moet betalen. Daarmee kan je alle shows bekijken zodra ze uit zijn. Je kan ze ook gratis bekijken maar dan moet je wel een week of zo wachten.)

It's not like this was national news and appeared on the front page of the newspapers but stil... I found it amusing and decided to make one myself. Since I too had something to rant about.

I think that DB is doing a good thing- because too many anime viewers loyally follow a show but never by or contribute to the studio that makes it.

If you like a series, buy the DVDs so they get *something* even if you love watching the fan subs.

They're only dropping Shippuden because Viz is going to release SUBBED Shippuden episodes starting from the brand new ones and each week Japan is going to sub the episodes and release them on their website for americans to see. :D

They will start this on 1/15. So Dattebayo decided to have a little fun with its fans. :P
