Its basic economic knowledge that tax cuts INCREASE revenue to the government? Why? Because increases discourage certain behaviors with a penalty (tax) and decreases encourage that behavior. So when Obama increases the tax rates on payrolls, investment and income, he totally discourages those behaviors.

About the only ones that make more than minimum wage are E5 up and officers.

Its basic economic knowledge that tax cuts INCREASE revenue to the government? Why? Because increases discourage certain behaviors with a penalty (tax) and decreases encourage that behavior. So when Obama increases the tax rates on payrolls, investment and income, he totally discourages those behaviors.

@cozella That "surplus" was a CBO projection for an entire decade. That didn't take into consideration the recession Bush inherited, the 9/11 attacks and the Wall Street collapse afterwards. Thanks for not answering or defeating nothing I put forward. I wish we had back that terrible economy of Bush's. Compared to Obama's 9.5% average unemployment rate, it looks like heaven. The Democrats need to stop penalizing those creating jobs, those who invest and those who give to charity. The economy will never recover if you are penalized for each job you create as a business owner. The economy will never recover if investors are being taxed at record rates on the profits they earn off their investment. The Dems think that by making electricity more expensive (Cap and Trade) that it will somehow help this country/economy. Making everything more expensive will be disasterous

Cut the salarys of the President, Senators, Congressmen, Federal employees, pay them minimum wage, forever. Get rid of the retirement benefits, come on, who works only 4 years and receives 60% of their base salery for their retirment once they leave office Reduce what the government pays itself, then you know who ever sticks around is doing it for the love of their country. @stevenharrisr Most of our military would kill for minimum wage. 16 hour days 6 days a week plus overtime for some of our active duty non-combat zone soldiers.
7.50 an hour for 40 hours would be 300 a week
11.25 an hour (overtime) for 56 hours would be 630 a week
930 a week times 4.3 weeks is approximately 4000 dollars a month (3999)
About the only ones that make more than minimum wage are E5 up and officers.

@floridagrandpa The Bush tax cuts went to all the socioeconomic classes, not just the rich as those on the left attempt to claim. The IRS tax table shows the tax cuts and can verify the lies lefties like to spill. Tax revenues are lower because more people are unemployed, thus less taxes are collected. The Deficits are created when Government spends more than it takes in. I'd suggest you take a look at what the governors of New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, North Dakota and Montana have done=surplus

But the bulk went to upper income people.The policies of our country have shifted income and wealth towards the upper classes who rather save than spend. The rest of us are tapped out and cannot spend to lift us out of this recession.We need policies that promote a more even income, wealth distribution.For example do away with corporation income tax, and tax the individual directly which would encourage company spending.
