In your sequel you say you have PMR. You should contact the Arthritis Foundation which has been very helpful for people who have PMR. PMR is the misdirection of the immune system with inflamation against most of the body and is quite disabling. Prednisone is the only thing that works in the long run. Throughout the nation, primary doctors take care of this common condition using the same doses of prednisone that you were given. Every person that has this feels your pain and frustration
Check what the dr's write on there comments in your record, I have found mine are made up, like they said they warned me about taking certain meds but they actually forced me to take the meds. I had 2 dr's throw tantrums cause I asked questions and thought the meds were dangerous for me. People need to get together and start flooding the congress persons with letters and emails about these ppl.

My mom had a real bad red skin rash reaction over her whole body to prednisone. Plus, be careful if you are allergic to prednisone of the other "sone" medications out there that could also cause you reactions.
Urgent care can be an option if your regular doctor is out of the office.
I used to courier medical supplies to kaiser,mostly through the loading dock,and the kaiser staff was always smoking pot back there.If I got sick,kaiser permanente would be the last place I would go to.

Kaiser charge me 6,000 on a kidney stone and only 4 hours of work. They scan me twice in 2 of there ct scan which alone cost 3,000. When I go in the hosp. I already told them that I had a kidney stone and they have to scan me with all these operation on me. You know what really help me is there pain killer medicine that only cost 110 and yet I already have some at home stupid me. They never fix my problem, the kidney stone just go away by its own. I also have there medical pre that I will cancel

I would have to get nasty with nurses and doctors just for them to call the patients back. I work for Member Services and I do have to say that in order to get the most out of Kaiser you have to know how to use it. I myself know the In and outs of how to obtain what I need when I need it. Member Services is the Member's advocate and usually we're able to light a match under whose ever behind needs a little "PUSH" so to speak. Im open for any questions. I have to be honest a lot of people don't do all they can do before they start complaining but there are those exceptions.
@unocrzyboy well member services is really bad also, I have made a hundred complaints and they don't even give you the time to call you to see what is going on. I was making a six figure salary, but could no longer tolerate what I saw on a daily basis. Since reporting the violations, I was told to fabricate documentation for State Investigators, punish a co-worker for reporting other violations, told to keep quiet, instructed to destroy documents, and terminated for refusing under the pretense of "insubordination." I went to Kaiser all the time for different check-ups do to my birth defect and I almost died when I was three years old because a doctor decided that he was TOO BUSY to do a full examination and told my mom that I had the flu...That next Monday I was still sick and they found out that I had Hydrocephalus and eventually had a shunt placed in my head to drain the fluid off my brain...THEY COULD HAVE KILLED ME and that doctor is STILL PRACTICING at the same hospital.
I go into Kaiser for a check-up before a trip abroad. My "doctor" gave me a lecture (really no lie) about how a faucet works and drains into the sink. Until this day, I still don't get what his point was.
Sorry for your suffering. My friends mother went into emergency for one thing, they (KP) left her alone in a room where she died of another. I too have been a patient there with medications gone wrong. THANKS for letting me join your rant!
I've had good experiences with KP, and I've had them try to kill me. It's definitely a system where you have to be a strong advocate for your own care, and don't leave it up to them. I'm much happier (and healthier) not being in the KP system at this time.

She and now you, are why I will never go to Kaiser.

What is this dust on your lungs? My dad's wife just got diagnosed with something similar, and I think she's going to start taking prednisone, or already has.

i'm allergic to dust and got a ton of it in my lungs while moving apartments. the pretnisone and a dusty inhailer did the trick for some reason.

You are doing the right thing!! DO NOT let up! I realize it is a hassle but the "barking dog gets the bone"..."the squeeky wheel gets the oil"...and keep doing the videos to let the world know how you are being treated. It is wonderful and may not only help yourself but could well help others in the future. I would love for videos like THIS to get featured and make the evening news! Hang in there and RANT all you want!

That is highly disturbing that they were that negligent to their duty and your state. I hope things will move forward much better than it seems to have gone in the last month.
