  • Are the cymbals included?

And also shouldnt there be a 2nd crash?

  • @mmjjee123 The cymbals we used in this video are all Bosphorus Oracle cymbals.

    14" hats 16" crash and 22" ride.

They are not included with the kit.

There is not a second crash because they are not out of a package set that includes a second crash.

Not all cymbal sets include a second crash, it depends on what the companies are promoting at the time.

  • @DrumtekDrums

Ok thanks. The only reason i asked was that in a few pictures i have seen of this kit it has the second crash. thanks again

  • @mmjjee123

    yes your correct.

the reason for that is so the kit looks better when selling it.

  • Can you get this with a 24 kick?

  • @WhateverSTK Unfortunatly it is not available in a 24" version.

Gretsch do a catalina club rock kit that has a 24" configuration.

    24",13" and 16" with an optional 18".

The only difference is that the shells are not birch they are mahogany.

  • @cptwinky69

Yeah, never underestimate birch for rock. I use to own a birch kit and had Evan G-plus heads on it. Tuned the reso head a bit higher to really bring them out and it sounded great for rock.

Personally, for just jamming or playing live I prefer birch. It really cuts through cleanly.

  • @cptwinky69

The birch sound is definitely well suited for any rock out fit.

The best thing about the kit in the video is the versatility of the drum sizes.

The 10 and 12 for the fusion more contemporary side of things then the bottom end of the 22 bass drum and 16 x 6 floor tom.

Which if you chose to play one up and one down the 12 and 16 match perfectly and fit right into rock like a sock.

  • I just got this kit. im trying to tune it to somwhat like this sound for toms. any suggestions?

  • is this also known as catalina club standard???

  • @davidmcdermott93

No the "Catalina Standard' sizes are 12" 13" 16" where the toms on this kit is 10"12"16".

Also known as the "Euro" kit.

  • Nice, are those the factory heads? If not, what heads?

  • @wtfecicles

Yes they are the factory heads that come on the kit.

They are made by evans and are equivalent to the G1 coated range.

  • i have one there sweet kits...

  • @gshdrums

    They are really nice kits...

Did you get it from DRUMTEK???

What set up do you have and ewhat cymbals are you using with it??

    Factory heads??

  • @DrumtekDrums No, im in perth bought it years ago 8 10 12 14 22 and 14x5.......i use coated evans G1`s or sometimes G2`s find they dont breath with 2ply and sound dead....14" HHX Groove Hats, 21" HHX Groove Ride, 17" Vault Crash, 18" AAXplosion Crash, 18" AAX Dark Crash, 19" Vault Crash, 11" Mike Portnoy Splash. Have other cymbals but there not on it

  • @gshdrums

    GOTA LOVE THE GROOVE RIDE.

    Thats what I play.

  • sounds great. really loving this kit. Do you think birch suites the vintage jazz sound a little better than maple?

  • @bmans7853

Thats a hard one to answer.

Depending on what school of vintage jazz you are coming from.

Some say that the strong attack is key but other say its the warmer tone of maple that is most important.

It all comes down to the individual playing the kit and what setting you are playing in with what other instruments.

  • is this the euro kit or the standard kit ?

  • @GeneralDesp

as listed in the VIDEO INFORMATION... 5 Piece Euro Kit - BR-E8256

    8”x10” Tom

    9”x12” Tom

    5.5”x14” Snare Drum

    16”x16” Floor Tom

    18”x22” Bass Drum

  • Is this a good kit for an intermediate drummer?

  • @airsoftguy2211

Yes this is a great kit.

It is paired with a set of Gibraltar 5000 series hardware which has a 5 year warranty on it.

100% birch shells are always a popular option when looking for an intermediate level kit.

  • How many lugs are on the toms?

  • @KJPHL

6 lugs on the toms and 8 on the floor tom

8 on the snare and 8 on the bass
