  • Every time you masturbate you will hear Tiff's enthusiastic voice in your head.

  • I prefer top gear

  • 2:04 the best laugh ever :D

  • its easier to just be a redneck...then it comes naturally haha

  • now how do you do this in a automatic?

  • what is the correct term for when ur cruising at about 30, for example, and you jab the clutch real quick to break the tires loose? I can't remember the term for it damnit

  • @lethaldosage6040 clutch kick.

  • @tetsoysauce ....then whats a double clutch?

  • @lethaldosage6040 a double clutch is when you input a blip of gas to rev match during a gear shift. Example: I'm slowing down in 4th without braking. As the revs drop I should be in 3rd. Clutch-in while in neutral you blip the gas to build the revs up to where 3rd should engage and then clutch-out. This allows you to have a smoother shift rather than not giving any gas which can cause the car to jerk or shudder.

  • FTF !@

  • Tiff: My weapon of choice is...

    Me: BMW M3

    Tiff: BMW M3

  • cool Can i do it with a shit car

  • @poomzeed <as long you have rear wheel drive =)

  • This Tutorial was very helpful to use on gt5!

  • I thought this was a skateboarding powerslide tutorial

  • @turtoise87 i can do both !!

  • Tiff is THE man

    Fuckin legend, end of!

  • @b68dv very easy with an X5

  • @MrWaterengineer Still shitty cars though, every X5 ive ever come across has either tried to plough me down or undercut me severely...

  • can anyone tell me please what is the difference between a powerslide and a drift?

  • @TheMassyl They're both the same thing - a powerslide is the technical term for getting a car sideways, whilst the term 'drift' is more often associated with the Japanese-born motorsport of drifting.

  • @TheMassyl Strike86 is incorrect. Here are the terms as used by formula and pro rally drivers:A Drift is when all 4 wheels are losing lateral grip as the car gains speed. A Slide can be only the front or rear wheels that are losing grip as the car loses speed.

  • @christopheclugston but if the front wheels lose grip, thats just understeer. Right?

  • @christopheclugston if front wheels loose grip, thats understeer, not a powerslide.

  • @TheBakerSkater1996 Do another cloer reading of what I wrote: all 4 wheels. A Understeer Slide is when only the front wheels have lost grip. As I stated Pro Rlayy and Formula Racers use the definition I wrote. Did you ever do one of the other?

  • @TheMassyl a drift is just a controlled slide and can be done with anythind=g, but a powerslide is when you use the power of the car to induce a slide

  • He's giving the wheel far to many corrections, under heavy throttle. The trick is to give the throttle the correction, and maintain your steering angle.

  • I did it the 3rd time i TRIED!!!

  • This is easy. I am 16 years old and I do it in my f150 without any experience... It's self explanatory.

  • @vlorraine94 I did it the 3rd time i tried on one day...when i was driving and decided to do some slides.

  • It is a pity that he took so much shit over his account of B20 as the original transcript was cut and pasted by the MoD then subjected to pressure from the publishers as back in those days soldiers memoirs of military experiences were largely unheard of, "Oh this won't sell you need to sex the action up a bit" hence the contradictions with Steven 'Billy' Mitchells excellent accounts, who was also gagged and rodgered by the MoD and publishers.

  • His real name is Colin Armstrong and he was only badged into the regiment after a two year part time civillian TA course. They are never fully accepted as proven by the real soldiers however he was an excellent sniper and an all round top bloke who has gone down in Regimental history after his epic endurance escape from Iraq during GW1. In reality he is a clever bloke and trust me, he is as hard as nails.

  • do yoh have to have special tires to do this so you wont roll?

  • @b68dv pretty hard actually. unless you catch both tires on the outside at the right angle and the right speed to flip - i doubt you'll flip.

  • whats the original sas motto? he who dares powerdies?

  • Fuck, I wanna be Tiff when I grow up. I love topgear but Tiff makes them seem elementary.

  • @ebradahusla

Tiff used to be on TopGear years ago... I think they should have him back, matbe he's the stig? ;)

  • @McAteerPaul he is XD clarkson said on yesterday's top gear christmas episode :) teaching danny boyle to do a lap around the top gear test track

  • @McAteerPaul apparently he is=D

  • i love how the guy runs away at 3:16

  • on a wet parkinglot for example, could i do this with a rear wheel drive car with about 140-150 brake horse powers or do i need more power ?

  • @mudfly3 easily lol

  • Comment removed

  • @mudfly3 oh ok i did´nt know how much power i takes, but if i wanna do it on dry tarmac then what ??

  • @mudfly3 it wont slide as easy, you have to help it more

  • @Crazyrogue yeah ok , like a bit more agressive or what?

  • @mudfly3 Yes you most definatly can, tiff himself learnt to drift in a morris 1000 at about 15 mph on a wet roundabout. i used to drift my e36 318i with completley stock suspension and that only had 115bhp from new 20 years ago :P get something like an e30 or e36 318i for a starter driftslag >.<

  • @NewRomantic4 im going to buy a e46 320 -04 in the spring, about march-april ! im just gonna find a big emty parkinglot and play around

  • @mudfly3 Look up the vid of Tiff doing it in a Morris Minor 1000! Probably 40 BHP!! :-)

  • @McAteerPaul i´ll look in to that =)

  • It is a lot harder than it looks. First time I tried this in my 540 6 speed and almost wrote it off into a wall. Practice, practice, practice.

  • Now I am dizzy

  • Tiff Needs to at the Dmv !

  • Yeah you can power slide in an auto transmission. come into the corner around 25-30. take your foot off the accelerator lock the wheel all the way then while in the slide put your foot on the accelerator again to come out of it.

  • can the powerslide be done with an automatic gear box?

  • wats the difference between Powerslide and drift?

  • @MrStarvy

Powerslide is a form drift, that is maintained by the application of power

  • i would love to learn with this guy haha

  • Heh I'd redirect him to some driving sims if he really wants to learn more about power sliding. You don't get the same feelings, but you don't go through tires as quick when you hit a simulator.

  • I wonder how he keeps it together after all that war or if he does.

  • He Who Dares Drifts :D

  • Stay on it Chris! Stay oon iiit! Oooooh God!

  • basically what you do is let the arse stick out when in the turn and when the rear is out you have to maintain it from there by using the gas, its complicated but when you learn it you will see what i mean, i done a drift round a roundabout and almost side-bashed a

  • those tires are done.

  • poor car :(

  • Gaz isn't so good at powersliding. Lol.

  • aghhh. i thought he was going to teach us how to do it in a Subaru, because im trying to try to learn how to do this in a awd Subaru.

  • Recently I lost control of my OPEL CORSA in similar fashion and my car skidded almost feet and ditched into 4 feet pit taking u turn. It is purely a miraculous escape from a major accident

  • exactly what i practiced by myself after my community college parking lot cleared out and it finished raining...in a 5 speed 3 series woop...wish i wouldve had nice instruction like this though :D

  • This is Fifth Gear, NOT Top Gear.

  • so how can u do this with fwd? cause seems like he's using the power to push the back around. cant do that if no power is going there lol

  • u do it in reverse :)

  • @thelegion69 doing an entire lap with fwd is impossible, you can just powerslide short distances with lift off oversteer or by using the E-brake (taildragging). But you cannot maintain the slide because you constantly lose speed.

  • @thelegion69 You can't exactly powerslide, but handbrake turns and Scandinavian flicks are your cup of tea. Check "FWD basics", another video with Tiff.

  • ricky bobby : "I'm not sure what to do with my hands right now"

  • I love my BMW M5 :D

  • that fool riding shotgun was scared shitless

  • BMW M3 So sexy=)) sweet car

  • i agree with some of the other comments here, and if you watch the point where he loses control is when he hits the puddle. then again their parking lot looks extremely uneven to begin with , allowing the water to pool up :/

  • If you dont feel it, just dont do it

  • What is the name of this show?

  • Fifth Gear.

  • i think it would have been easier for him if the water was evenly balanced, kuzz the car was going from dry to wet, which would have caused him to think he was putting too much throttle, but he doesnt need when wet

  • Can I teach him? :D Any man should be able to do a powerslide!

  • this is a good tutorial for those that likes to have some fun in the rain

  • Tiff is awesome!

  • perfect car to learn it in. i learned this in a 535i

  • What does he say at the end?!

    ".... powerslides"??!

  • he who dares powerslides

  • LOL Tiff at 2:05 :D:D:D:D:D

  • Powerslides technically can be done in RWD or AWD. By definition, it can't be FWD because in a powerslide you are using POWER to create a SLIDE. FWD cars just get understeer if you apply too much power in a turn.

That doesn't mean, however, that FWD cars can't get sideways without the handbrake. I advise anyone that would argue with me to look up the "Scandinavian Flick".

Handbrake turns are essentially only useful in hairpins, and are therefore not relevant in this case.

  • haha FWD's are fun to swing out the back tires and do turns with

  • drift is the same as a power slide and h4rm3t don't worry your English isn't that bad,

roxxas5 just needs to be less of an ass

  • drift is using handbrake n only for RWD

  • not always using the handbrake

  • Drift is possible on AWD too, all about the conditions. Mostly for RWD. and handbrake is not powersliding thats for tight turns that would require a 3 point turn or more.

  • but still drifting is not powersliding

  • whats the difrent about power slide and drift ? :S

  • maybe becues i live in holland and i am turkisch so thats the reason why my english sucks

  • LOL his english is not that bad . I bet you couldn't even write a whole sentence of holland, by the way I'm from mexico and english is a piece of cake ,latin languages are way more difficult to learn.

  • well drift is more controlled and really avoid using the weight as a method. mostly hand brake and dipping clutches to get the angles. Powerslide is less controlled as weight transition is used to break the traction

  • i dont know about u guys but i like letting the wheel spin in my hands then just adjusting slighly. with both throttle and wheel.

  • LOL!!! :D:D:D:D:D

    Tiff's face at 2:05

  • The grass made the car spin.

  • That was good effort for a couple of hours practise. Tiff would make a good race instructor.

  • "the water made the car spin" LOL thats why its illegal to drive in the rain /sarcasm

    Clutch kicking ftw :D

  • Its not that hard, you just have to know your car really well.

  • do you have a video of you doing one??

  • hell, at least he's not e-brakin it

  • This is my dream that Tiff teach me how to drive a car like him wow wow.

  • he should stick to been an sas commando

  • the M3 is greaaaat

  • What a ham fisted oaf

  • handbrake to intiate drift

  • flicking it would be more easy.

  • have an ej1 (94 civic ex). sweet lil thing. stick shift of course. do I use the handbrake?

  • ain't tht car FWD?

  • nope

  • it might be FWS, but definitly a RWD.

  • duhh.

i was asking tht about the '94 Civic ex

  • nah some are AWD..

  • false- do some research, ever hear of xi? or x drive, maybe?

  • @wazzupriders idiot.... it's an M3... it doesn't have Xi or Xdrive......

  • @wazzupriders idiot.... it's an M3... it doesn't have Xi or Xdrive......

  • watch?v=Sbr1K3uuOPk

  • if you cant do it. dont comment!

  • a drift requires a RWD car with the driver spinning the tire to aim the direction. A powerslide is when you use a handbrake to slide in a FWD car and have barely any control. This is more of a drifting video

  • I have an automatic 03 mustang, and i wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to power slide. Do you use the emergency brake or regular brankes?

  • you use your e-brake to power slide and make sure you counter steer after you put the e-brake down

  • Turn in with the regular brake and then keep on the throttle through the corner. It works on an '05 mustang and everything else

  • I have a front wheel drive and can drift that. but i would say drifting a real wheel drive is really great fun. but when you have trays under a front wheel, its different again.

  • watz the different with power slide n drift?

  • power slide is done by take off and then turning to slide. drift is done by using handbrake to slide.

  • You're wrong xetronstr. You can begin a drift without the handbrake. Handbrake is a more elementary way to break the rear end loose, however, as you trail brake and unweight the rear end, add power, ass end rotates. Basic mate.

  • WTF. I AM RIGHT i didnt say anything about starting a drift i said you can do a drift with the hand brake. read properly.

  • powerslide is when the car slides by its weight...drift is when you pull the handbrake and slide controling the car's angle etc.

  • people that said drifting is done with e-brake are pretty much clueless, probably never driven rwd

  • torque + handbrake for stabilization

  • you just proved your clueless.. this isnt need for speed.

  • shut up! you don't know shit ebrake is not the only way to drift ever heard of: Feint, Braking, Weight Transfer, Clutch Kick, and Shift Lock look up 'The Drift Bible" by the real drift king himself

  • nothing, just different names, originally it was just called a 'powerslide' and the sport of drifting evolved from that.

  • I think it would have helped a lot if the track was either all wet or all dry.

  • *Takes notes*

  • b b b b boring!! jeremy is far better

  • agreed i hate these guys

  • shit they killed that M3!!

  • color is good, leather top is sucks

  • LOVE the e46 m3!

    The new m3 suckssss!

  • is this automatic

  • lolz ofcourse not a powerslid with a auto is very very hard .. and mostly almost impossible cuz it will change gears when u rev it to high .. and lose power abd u dont need to say more ..

  • ITS POSSIBLE not so hard either in the rain

  • i did not say its not possible but it is way harder and u cant handle the control of the revs ! so how r u gonna do that lolz ur always gonna spin unless you have a car with loads of power ..

  • you what? powersliding was never easier than in my dad's 4.0i EB2 Falcon. Straight-six, fuel injection, rear-wheel drive and an electronic T-bar that would kick-down two gears when you breathed on the accelerator.

Break the tail-end away with the kick-down and then the auto-go-magic up-changes and drops the revs, meaning you don't spin the car away on sustained power. Easy as falling off a bike.

  • wel i own a golf Gti now fwd so i cant drift anymore lolz not that i ever did it alot cuz i did not wanna wreck my car :-)

    <3

  • oh cos drifting totally wrecks your car...

  • Well it can.. And if you loose control BANG haha but meh who cares. As long as you dont hurt anybody.

  • yer as long as you dont crash it. it takes practise though, what i do is go to a certain medium sized roundabout thats always deserted, and when its wet, i see how many circles i can do round it sideways, using the accelerator to adjust the pitch of my slide, trust me with no practice its hard

  • being a aussie, I know about the falcon and great as they sure would be didn't know their autos were that intuitive :P

  • you can downshift and automatic and keep it at any gear you want last time I checked.

  • last time i checked you have a torque converter not a clutch

  • anyone know the song in the beginning? you can barely hear it.

  • Good for him

    but what an UGLY color

  • It takes a long time to be able to control a drift like they do with very little steering input. Steers from the rear, lol.

  • Yes, you're right but it also depends on the driver ;]

Any way, the car is amazing..I LOVE IT

  • well you need to move the steering around depending on what your doing and where you are.

best drifter are d1 dirfters from japan. every single drift aint the same.. even they are harsh with steering fi something like change of motion or momentum build up was too strong etc etc..

its not WHAT you do outside.. its how it looks outside.. what we see is the drift.. not the steering wheel

  • what a idiot , you've been watching tokyo drift to much mate . The key to power sliding is in the steering and as tiff says you need to stay on it , the car wont make it easy and smooth you HAVE to control the car , which you probably cant

  • Id rather not take your advise as your an immature retard.
