I think it's hard for a character like El Fuerte to fight against Sagat. Since he doesn't have any advantages or weapons to against him. I have been using El Fuerte for days still have troubles beating Sagat comfortably. Someone got any advice?

you have to be patient and not blindly go after Sagat. I'm a Fuerte user and my BPs are in the 3000s. Use wall jumps when u see a projectile coming out. I also like doing Ex Habanero run through them and catch the oponent off guard and best punisher for missed dragon punches is close fk>guacamole drop. Finally mix and fake attacks. Hope this helps.

if you have an arcade stick, its time to learn the RunStopFierce Loop

Fp-> Hab dash -> lp (stop) -> repeat

If you cant do that try these:

FP -> Habanero Dash -> Hk (Slide )

or

Fp -> Quesadilla Bomb

Yup! El is one of my favourite characters. I took advice from some of the posters here, a big thank you to them cause my El has improved ever since. However, it's hard to beat Sagat consistently.

turtle....is the best way to beat sagat w/ Fuerte.....trust me ive been playing Fuerte since FOREVER and i know it works...never fails....this guy sucks balls....idk y he was sweeping so much...sure it has positive frames over anyone and its a free grab but he used it to punish =/ thats sad.....play smart and be defensive is the best way....i dont have enough room to go into details but that's how i win....and hope to god they dont block ur slam or ull get hit by Tiger Uppercut

Sagat is very powerful....simple as that. It's always been about skills in the Street Fighter series....skills not who's more powerful.

If you say Sagat is cheap you may aswell say the same about Shin Akuma...cheap and much harder to beat.

Here's another point....If you watch how your opponents play(repeating moves for example). You can plan combos for him......To be honest, Me and many other guys could beat this Sagat player.

wow sagat is so cheap, long reach, way 2 much damage, doesnt take that much damage, and he shoots his projectile way faster than any other character, im sick of everyone saying he is top tier, there is a difference between top tier and CHEAP

Yea, he's definitely god tier, it sucks, he used to be my favorite character but because he's been made so powerful in this one, there's almost no point in using him.

It's all about skills. Knowing the strenghts and weaknesses of the characters in the game can give you an edge no matter who you use.

In my opinion Shin Akuma and Gill from SF3 Third Strike are very cheap!

i had trouble figuring this out aswell, you have to hold a kick down for like 5 seconds. its weird but el fuertes only armor break : /

weird mechanic but u can combo it into stuff with a giant ass buffer

not to bag or anything but you need to work on that El Fuerte, need more mix ups. Use wall jumps and the such to bring out a counter but cut the jump short and dash in hit him with anti air or trip then start mix up frog splash. Fuerte is all about mix up and fakes, use his run to get just out of sweep range then do the LK stop and wait to see his reaction, you really gotta study the other player with him
