  • I hate to burst everybodies balloon but THIS song IS NOT red sovine !!! I have taken this recording and the other version by nev nicholls and synched them together and used some voice equipment and BOTH voices are the same !! There are 8 or 9 words that are pronounced EXACTLY alike . They have an AUSSIE twang to them . So can someone please , please find RED SOVINES ACTUAL , ORIGINAL version of this song and get it posted ??? It would be HIGHLY appreciated .... THANKS

  • teddy bear was 1 of the 1st songs i listened to in the cab of dads cab of the truck, since i lost him in '07 it gets me every time, like my dad i'm a truck driver and got a son of my own.

  • Why did this cut off??

  • SAVE OUR CULTURE!!!

  • where is the last half of the song???

  • This is actually Nev Nichols. if you do a search of this song and put Nev Nichols at the end you will find it is the same voice. As someone said this cuts out at the end. if you do a search of Nev Nichols you will find the full version. Gary

  • its not red. sounds like an australian or new zealander

  • this doesn't sound like red sovine

  • I wish my old man was alive to hear this, don't think he ever knew there was a sequel

  • my late dad was an 18 wheeler driver, we used to go out alot when i was growing up, now i drive 10 wheelers, since my back gave i cant drive those trucks anymore, but teddy bear wa 1 of our favourites and always reduced us to tears, back in the 80's the c.b was a big thing, now its almost extinct.

  • this isn't Red Sovine people

  • I am 40 years old and every time I hear "Teddy Bear" I cry

  • ..The song just cuts off at the end?

  • This is a good song that is ruined by the downloader. They had chopped the end off. Why? Did they hate the song, or didn't they know any better.

  • Hätte es damals dsds gegeben er wäre einer der ersten gewesen die gewonnen hätten

  • Wow, I seriously didn't know the first song had this sequel. For some strange reason however, my computer wouldn't play the whole video. Pity really.

  • My mom had all of Red Sovine tapes and I would sit in my room and listen to these and just cry my heart out. Thanks to Youtube I am sharing them with my kids but I dont think they are enjoying them as much as I am.

  • I like this tune but why is the end cut off the only full version I can find is Dianne Williams version. I want Red's version.

  • teddy bear is a beautiful song also the sequel

  • This is not Red Sovine. It is someone else. Don't know who, But It's not Red Sovine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bmanningb

That is correct...can't expect much from someone who can't spell sequel.

    This is Red's followup:

  • for everyones info. this is not RED SOVINE. I don't know who it is but if you listen to Red's song Little Joe you would know this is not one of Red Sovine's songs

  • i heard the first song teddy bear when i was very young and i saw my mom cry and i asked her what was wrong she told me it was a beautiful song then years have past and know im the one when i here it i cry as Red knew how to get into peoples hearts

  • something alarming about truckers befriending small boys.

  • @Quoinblock Not everyone is a pervert. We must be careful & watch out for our kids, for sure. But we can't shut them out from everyone.

  • Except for Red referring to Teddy Bear being alive and healed in "Little Joe" I believe it was.

  • @Ghstwolf62 Yeah I believe Teddy Bear grew up and became a truck driver

  • Don't care too much for this mans singing...... He is not from our states. How would he know about American Trucking?

  • didnt billy connerly do a song of this???????????

  • what happend to the end of the song.? I lost it a 2:43

  • hahahhahaha stupid redneck song!

  • Cant stop crying I cry with the first one but this one is so sad.... All my respect to all the truckers out there

  • A woman did a sequel also, can't remember who. Seems she announced Teddy Bear's death to all the truckers and thanked them for their kindnesses to him.

  • @usaruss minnie pearl did a sequal as well its on my channel

  • @simonortth1 It was sung by Diana Williams and was called "Teddy Bear's Last Ride"

  • @simonortth1 nev nichols did Teddy Bears Last Ride

  • It cuts off at 2.38 for me, is it my machine or does it do this for everyone. It is sooo frustrating

  • @usaruss tanya tucker

  • @usaruss also Diana Williams sang it.

  • @usaruss It was Minnie Pearl.

  • @Jeannette1658 The female version of this song was originally done by Diana Williams. If in doubt a bit of research will show who the woman was. :)

  • @usaruss Tanya Tucker did a remake of it also

  • @usaruss did you ever find out who sang the sequel ? I heard it today on the radio, and it was great. I would love to know who sang it !! Thanks

  • @TEOEMELIO Nev Nichols

  • @usaruss so did tanya tucker

  • @usaruss

Yes I seen it but it has very graphic footage that I didnt think went with this song. It,s called teddy bears last ride, shows traffic & is 4:12 long video.but the woman does very good singing the song.

  • Needs more volume

  • Yes it sure needs more volume

  • Your right, i think it is a Aussie singing the song,

  • i"m 42 heard the original many times in my younger days growing up and have just heard this song for the first time , brings back good memeries of growing up.

  • I would like to thank the family for letting people listen to Red's music.

  • sounds like an aussie in some parts. just me? it cuts off at 2:37

  • 72 years old i love this song

  • 72 years young you mean 70s is young these days

  • @simonortth1

Hey, I'm a 'toddler,' just 65. I have the album somewhere that had Teddy Bear on it. Played if over and over.

  • i wonder sometimes just how old ole red sovine was when he died?? he had to be way up in years not making fun. but i never knew does anybody else? god bless

  • Woodrow Wilson Sovine (July 17, 1918 — April 4, 1980), better known as Red Sovine, was a country music singer. He was associated with truck driving songs, particularly those recited as narratives but set to music. The most famous example was his 1976 number one hit "Teddy Bear." I took this from wikipedia

  • Red Sovine was 62 years old when he died

  • I lost 3 son's, hearing this is hard

  • these songs bring back memories of my days as a trucker.

  • I just lost a nephew....6 months old and I had to listen to Teddy Bear as Baby Joseph is now on his ultimiate Ride.

Only I see an unending line of bikers.

  • love this song as much as the first one

  • i like this song bc im a truck driver my self its a sad song but thangs like taddy bear does ahppen out on the road i have seen it & heard it befor

  • The first time i heard Teddy Bear was many years ago. I was driving at the time . Let me tell you i had to pull off the road , i was in tears. Here we are many years later, and this song still reduces me to tears.

  • @kosmoneske

This kin of music and 1960s Rock and Roll. Puts the present day c**p in the shade. You can understand the words. There is a tune. There is talent. 2010....shriek, scream, shout, no melody, can't understand the words. no talent.

  • @kosmoneske who doesn't it reduce to tears??

  • @kosmoneske Ditto, gets me every time I hear it.

  • @kosmoneske You and me both Driver!

  • Truth be told, despite the fact that this video is cut off, which I understand is not your fault, I still am happy I was able to find even a little bit of it, because it's a song that can remind anyone what kindness is. My friends hate truckers, but after hearing so many of his songs, I like them now. They are, after all, the best drivers out there. (My driver's ed teacher even says so, and he hates pretty much everything)

Thank you for posting this song, even if it's only a part.

  • this is teddy bears last ride

  • another beautiful song

  • nice but didn't dianna wiliams do this answer to teddy bear first, I do have it bu her

  • my grandpa loved these songs and i haven't listened to them in years but they are the best songs thank you for posting them.

  • beautiful song so fuck off

  • Teddy Bear's Last Ride was totally disregarded and loathed by Red Sovine so, in retaliation, recorded Little Joe in protest to it

  • love it teddy bear was my pops funeral song R.I.P Leon Love You Pop Keep On Truckin 10 10 I will be with ya someday 10-15 and out Love Ya Pop

  • Another beautiful song. Please view my origionals and especially the red sovine tune that my daughter and I do

It'll Come back 5 stars favorited

    smackey72562

  • not in england

  • I think the word is "Sequel"....

  • Meh.. I will admit that we still have a few good bands, like Seether or Evanescense.. But that's about all I really like of today's music.. Even today's Country is a bunch of bull shit. And Country has always been one of my favorite types of music..

  • not enough people listen to good music like this song

  • Red Sovine never recorded Teddy Bear's Last Ride. It was written & recorded by Diana Williams in 1976. Red retaliated with Little Joe. This clip is the version by Australian singer Nev Nichols.

  • g,day great version thanks for posting this

  • where can some one tell me where people like Red are today .................. did we trade talents like this for "rappers" .what the hell are we thinking???????

  • I feel like you do, however, Red died in Hendersonville, Tn a few years back.He cut one of my songs in "Giddy-up Go" album and I play that album quite often, to hear the song, of coarse but also to hear Red do other songs as well. You are so right about our thinking.

  • this song and the other song is so song is so song

  • this is so sad :(

  • This is Reg Poole, an Australian singer from the state of Victoria. Enjoyed checking them all out.... from an Austalian truck driver. Jed.

  • This.

Also the name of this song is "Teddy Bear's Last Ride" and it was originally released by Diana Williams.

If you want to hear what Red Sovine says happened to Teddy Bear, just search "Red Sovine Little Joe" and listen to that song.

  • Teddy Bears last ride is done

  • This doesn't sound like Sovine. In fact, is that a British accent??

  • Oh, never mind. I thought this was "Little Joe". This alternate and more negative sequel is "Teddy Bear's Last Ride". Unfortunately, "Little Joe" doesn't seem to appear anywhere on YouTube.
