In the separation of heavens and earth, one needs imagination to see Big Bang, since the earth didn't exist at that moment.

The myth of the separation used to be widespread. it was used by many mythologies: the Greek, the Sumerian, the Chinese,ect... So, that's not amazing that it could be borrowed by the Quran.
