There's different translations for Japanese, and also different versions. "Ikareta otoko ni uchikorosarete", some might say, means "Shot down by a madman". Also, madman = cross-eyed man. It just sounds cooler. :D

Also...in the AHS drama (Kaito), Kaito shot himself and in several different versions, he also shot himself. In some others, someone shot him.
