Just had this done 2 weeks ago, best choice of my life!! The healing process on the incisions are very delicate and will take some time, but other than that I felt like myself after just three days!
It amazes me that when we are doing mastectomies we could pull out the lipids and save some patients another trip to the doc for reductions.......but that is not how they do it. I know they have to be professional, and I know that proceedure is paramount, but it is amazing how much cost is accrued that we could eliminate.
@mozartgenetics The injection before surgery is for much more than anesthesia during the procedure. It is for reduced blood loss and postoperative pain control.
@Dryates1 We use those shots occasionally too on highly vascular areas like the face. Most of our surgeries don't need them. We do knee replacements where we place a cord around the pelvis to cut off blood flow and various other general surgeries.
@ShelbylynnB5 I ask that my patients refrain from aggressive exercise for 6 weeks. Otherwise, within a month (usually much less), most patients feel great.
when do you even out? if say your a D on one side and a C on the other, would this surgery help with evening it out. or should i wait till im about thirty to make sure i dont have more growing to do. im only a teenager...

i had my reduction when i was 20, im 22 now and still not fully recovered. i had serious complications and almost had to have skin grafts. please talk to your surgeon about complications and risks. ask them about the HOLE. if they are a good surgeon they will know exactly what this is!!!!!!!!!
I would definitely love to have this done. I'm a 42 H and i want to go down to a full D cup...they cause so much back pain and i can't play sports anymore because it hurts too much. I definitely can't wear swimsuits or find any cute shirts that don't make me look fat.

@ReeaBeea I'm 17 with a 32i and I'm getting a reduction in about a week and a half. Insurance has got mine covered. My surgeon wanted to wait until I was 18 but later decided that I was ready. They tend to wait until you've stopped growing (at 18) but you should definitely go in for a consultation if you're strongly considering getting one.
I would love to have this done. I'm a DDD and would like to go down to a big B. I can't stand them. Hopefully when I get extra money I will be able to have it down. Thanks for the video.

I wear a 44M cup bra and I really want to get this procedure done but after this procedure ends, I wonder if some women get a breast augmentation after this or is that completely different from breast reduction???

Wanted to give thanks to the person who posted this video. Although my procedure will be slightly different because Im getting lipo on them too, at least now I have an understanding of what goes on. Im a 40F and although Im a big girl in height (5'10") and my boobs are proportioned with my body, the pain in my shoulds and back is extreme. I also hate that once you get past a certain size in bra's, da style simply changes to "granny looking" and da thought of feeling sexy goes out the window.

@PuddingnShortbuses To the best of my memory pre-op was DD, post-op was a C. Usually 1-4 days of pain pills. Light work can be resumed usually in the first week. Heavy lifting and exercise 4-6 weeks. The procedure is variable depending on the technique and surgeon. Usually from 1:30 to 3:00. This was around 2:00.
I had this surgery when I was 18 i've never regreted it. My Dr did an amazing job, little scaring and today at the age of fifty you can't tell I had anything done. The biggest thing to remember is your new breast will be very firm for nearly a year, not painful just firm. I too did not need any pain meds after surgery. I recomend women out there comtimplating this surgery, as long as you are completely confident with your surgeon, HAVE IT done, you'll LOVE it.

i was a 16 G n in August last yr i had a breast reduction i was a 16 DD but after putting on a little bit of weight after the op am now a 16 E, i only watched this after the op n was so suprised, but in the end i am really happy that i had them reduced.

I had this done a little over a year ago, and it was one of the best choices I've ever made. I'm 5'2", 115 pounds and I had 32E breasts. Because of them, I have mild scoliosis, and I had constant back pain and gashes in my shoulders from my bra. Now I'm a 32B and so so so happy with the results. The recovery was so easy - two days lying in a chair and then I was up and moving, with minimal pain. Finally my breast size fits me!

ive had breast reduction done, it was a gift from GOD. Thats one decision ill never regret, but it too six weeks to recover....u need to heal. i had an awesome mom who babied me throughout the whole ordeal cuz it was one. u cant do anything strenuous at all. i think if anyone can do it go for it u will not regret it. i have scars that are barely invisible but my husband doesntmind
This doesn't really look like a young woman judging by the color of the breast tissue. But the incisions are very clean and I like the way the nurse maneuvers the breast to assist the doctor. I hope my nurse does that when I finish medical school :)
I had this done, I'm uneven, and VERY VERY hard to find a 46 B. there still to big in the cup. I went from a 42 DD to a 40 B. After I was told I would be able to breast feed. 4 children after the surgury. Unable to breastfeed any of them, It Sucks
@31750800 Sorry you had such an undesirable outcome. I just had a keyhole-type breast reduction 2 weeks ago. I probably would have hurt a lot more had I realized how mutilating the surgery actually looks! Gee whiz. He removed about 2.2 lbs from my breasts and 4.3 from my belly in a tummy tuck the same day. I'm just now getting up the nerve to watch the procedures. That's amazing work.

Sounds like the patient is snoring. I am greatful I do not work on this type of surgical team. We use anesthesia and do not need to poke the needle.

i was a 16 G n in August last yr i had a breast reduction i was a 16 DD but after putting on a little bit of weight after the op am now a 16 E, i only watched this after the op n was so suprised, but in the end i am really happy that i had them reduced.

I'm having this surgery done in 6 weeks and I'm so excited!!!!! They're going to take me from a DDD down to a D. Being that I am a nursing student this vid didnt bother me at all infact I wish that they could just numb me up but leave me awake so I can watch but I don't think I would be able to sit still all that time.

I had this done a little over a year ago, and it was one of the best choices I've ever made. I'm 5'2", 115 pounds and I had 32E breasts. Because of them, I have mild scoliosis, and I had constant back pain and gashes in my shoulders from my bra. Now I'm a 32B and so so so happy with the results. The recovery was so easy - two days lying in a chair and then I was up and moving, with minimal pain. Finally my breast size fits me!

I hate it when people say girls with big boobs should exercise and that the problem would go away. I'm a long-distance runner and my boobs are hanging there like watermelons, it's ridiculous

I had this done just a few days ago, and I already feel sooo much better. Went from a 34F to a c or d-cup, wont know the official size till the swelling is down, but I am soooo glad I did it. =]

ive had breast reduction done, it was a gift from GOD. Thats one decision ill never regret, but it too six weeks to recover....u need to heal. i had an awesome mom who babied me throughout the whole ordeal cuz it was one. u cant do anything strenuous at all. i think if anyone can do it go for it u will not regret it. i have scars that are barely invisible but my husband doesntmind

This doesn't really look like a young woman judging by the color of the breast tissue. But the incisions are very clean and I like the way the nurse maneuvers the breast to assist the doctor. I hope my nurse does that when I finish medical school :)

I had this done, I'm uneven, and VERY VERY hard to find a 46 B. there still to big in the cup. I went from a 42 DD to a 40 B. After I was told I would be able to breast feed. 4 children after the surgury. Unable to breastfeed any of them, It Sucks

@31750800 Sorry you had such an undesirable outcome. I just had a keyhole-type breast reduction 2 weeks ago. I probably would have hurt a lot more had I realized how mutilating the surgery actually looks! Gee whiz. He removed about 2.2 lbs from my breasts and 4.3 from my belly in a tummy tuck the same day. I'm just now getting up the nerve to watch the procedures. That's amazing work.

I had this surgery done in December 2010 - I watched this video before and after my surgery - and it bothered me before but not after - but I would recommend anyone contemplating this surgery to go ahead and have it done......excellent results. They took 4.2 pounds off my right side and 4.3 off my left - and I feel wonderful and look great!!! I never had a bit of pain or soreness after my surgery....and did't even need pain meds. I went from a DDD to a C.
