Very true.In my mind, many of my German compatriots are trying to represent themselves as morally and intellectually superior. It is easy to see through that kind of pretence.A politically correct German is likely to attribute extremists views in others simply by their appearance. If you shave your hair off, you'll be fine in the Netherlands, UK, France etc. But quite a few tolerant Germans jump at any opportunity to insinuate the most evil.
@lingosteve The term 'political correctness' is dangerous because it is mainly used against left-wing political correctness. I don't deny this left-wing pc.
But the right-wing political correctness is much stronger and that's often denied:
Lefties „occupy“ some seats in parliament and some positions at university in social science and arts but the right-wing oder center-right groups occupy almost all power positions in society - the top administration, the banks, the industry and the military.
You still gotta give it up to Steve regardless his mistake! For the amount of languages he can speak these mistakes are very minimal. Especially with the difficulty of the German language and its declensions.

Das ist gut! Do you know any Pennsylvania Dutch? Pennsilfaanisch Deitsch. It is still spoken south of where I live but the language does not have a formal syntax or proper written form so it is hard to study.

@zzukizzz You do eventually have to speak, but I have learned Russian at LingQ for the last 4 years and find that I can speak quite well. As I improved I would have more chats with our online tutors, but to really improve I need to go to Russia.

You seemed to become more voluble and comfortable as the video progressed. I understood you perfectly, but I'm not German so I'm not sure if that means anything. =P That book looks pretty interesting. The last book I ordered from Germany, however, had outlandish shipping rates.
@lingosteve Sarrazin has to have free speech, but I think he's not just against Turkish criminals.
He seems to like provocation if you follow his writings for years. He has attacked almost a dozen social groups in Germany and driven his son into depression.
He just likes to fight and to dominate - and the criminal idiots give him the chance to do that.
Funny fact: in Germany people more likely to call it "Political Correctness" than "Politische Korrektheit", so the enlish term is used more frequently.
Viele passagen waren gar vollkommen Akzentfrei. Ihr Deutsch ist ausgezeichnet.

@Murmillo1 Why did you erase my free speech comments?
With "idiots" I meant criminal immigrants promoting their own political opponents and the agitation against themselves.

The major issue is syntax, verbs are not always finding their right place in the sentence. Buch is also neuter, if I remember rightly.

@usenetposts I find a lot of mistakes, I'm going to write the sentences correctliy:
1. Meiner Meinung nach (not Meine meinung nach)
2. In der Kueche (not in kueche
4. unsere Meinung auszudruecken (not unsere Meinung zu ausdruecken)
there are many more but I think he needs to learn grammar
