@hamjamnspamalot "If you trace up Masonry, through all its Orders, till you come to the grand tip-top head Mason of the World, you will discover that the dread individual and the Chief of the Society of Jesus [i.e., the Superior General of the Jesuit Order] are one and the same person."
@hamjamnspamalot "Eight years before the attempted [Spanish] Armada invasion [of 1588], Jesuits were seditiously active plotting the overthrow of the English government. By using different disguises, aliases, and secret codes, to illegally slip in and out of England, Jesuit Robert Parson, in 1580, had led and then later organized a mission to bring other Jesuits into England to engage in a work of subversion.
You could source this better-look up 'you tube stereo sound' in yt or google. You can get tips on presenting this better-since you're not using the video side, the sound could be decent.
Howe and Wakeman allways get to play stuff from their solo CDs live with Yes. This time around (New Yes tour in july 08) it's Squire's turn. They MUST do something from 'Fish out of Water' this time around!
@Topographer "The sixth and last event to be considered is the barbarous Irish Massacre, with its 23 October 1641 launching date -- the date that also celebrates the Catholic feast of Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.
Love that 7/4 it's my metronome favouraite as a drummer can't stop snapping that left hand because of my other rythm man and the intertwining sax just excelence personified what can I say. Van the drummer in Shanghai...thanx utube
i bought this album around 79 or 80....in hi school. LOVED it to death. Miss it. But i bought it used. Now that it's reissued on CD...i suppose i can get it again, but redeem myself for having deprived squire of the royalties the first time around!!!
Many regard Live at Queens Park Rangers Stadium, 1975 as even better than Yessongs. Unbelievably it's one of the hardest videos to get. Not anymore, now the MASSES of Yes fans can have easy access to this concert by checking out our new 2DVD set - Yes A Celebration, 1969-1979. It features many Yes videos from the 70s as well as Live at QPR 1975 with improved audio. Click on my profile for clips
Two weeks ago i finally heard this album and it's amazing! Chris definitly is my favorite... and he became more special since i've heard "It's love", from "The Word is live". Hearing they going crazy under Chris' command was terrific!
I've never understood why Yes didn't incorporate any of these songs into their set. This album was (and is) one of the great solo outings of all time. Great writing, strong melodies (with the bass carrying the load!) and amazing vocals. I got it when it came out...gave me chills then and still does.
There is no CD actually, it's only been available on LP for the past 31 years. However, it will be given a CD release soon, finally! Also, according to Chris himself, he's going to release another solo album I think.
Ah, I see. So then that of course, means it was never given a release on CD in the UK until now? (Because I'm sure I heard Roger Day on that BBC show he has say that there wasn't a CD release yet or something like that?)
I think that Chris Squire is the heart of Yes, the passion is felt.

Sounds like the music that would play over a downbeat scene change in "Beverley Hills Cop", or "Another 48 Hours". In a good way, of course!
This is pretty sweet. And builds up fairly nicely.
If you like this, blow your brains out by listening to King Crimson's "Asbury Park Live 1974". Wow. THAT is Bruford on FIRE!!!

Bruford nearly adds another song on top of it by using the tempo of the keyboard part. If you focus on that, the 7/4 part sounds very free form.

The first CD release for Fish Out of the Water was in Japan in 25 February 1990.
A few other import releases have been done in recent years and a domestic one (Wounded Bird Records) back in 28 February 2006.
A new version with a bonus CD was released a few weeks ago.
